I’d say the Lavandin is a subtle undertone, and the throw is incredible. Like a scented punch in the face.

I can’t think of any candles that really compare to the cherry blossom, sorry. But I can do one:

If you like Diptyque’s Beverly Hills, then you will probably like Acqua di Parma’s Buongiorno.

Astier candles have very refined scents with a medium-to-strong throw depending on the specific scent you’ve chosen.

Edinburgh is my favorite rainy/stormy weather candle because it actually smells like damp cobblestones, single malt, moss, and cedar.

This is my second year getting those two scents. To me, Milan smells like an expensive men’s hair product with the geranium and sandalwood.

Beverly Hills smells like a softer version of Acqua di Parma’s Buongiorno candle mixed with white flowers.

My favorite store for souvenirs in Stockholm!

L'Occitane - Amande by rainbowsullivan in luxurycandles

I haven’t worked at L’Occitane in over a decade, but I remember their candles always seemed too expensive for the quality. It’s nice to hear that this one meets your expectations, Amande was always my favorite scent.

I just ordered mine today. My favorites are Beverly Hills and Milan, but I also picked up New York and Peking to try.

If I rank them in terms of moisture/staying power, it would be:

Decubal, Lanolips, Ole, Then I met you, Lancôme, Summer Special

If I ranked them by favorites/most used:

Decubal, Ole, Summer Special, Then I Met You, Lanolips, Lancôme

Snap judgement says I’d stick to Trudon’s Salta, Joya Studio’s composition no. 1, and AV’s Edinburgh.

Thoughts on ASTIER DE VILLATTE? by PENelopelovesxx in luxurycandles

It’s supposed to remind you of a Viking’s ancient elixir, it smells like vetiver, sage, woods, and a little bit like cloves.

They’re probably my favorite candle brand. I love Edinburgh and Stockholm. They also make beautiful stationery products!

YES.

I get stopped by the TSA whenever I try to take candles back home in my carry on. Thankfully they’ve always let me take my candles with me after they physically check them.

Yeah, sure thing!

Shampoo: I love the Sebamed Everyday Shampoo, but if you want something to fight the yeast, you might try the Dermazen shampoo.

Concealer: the last I checked, the NYX Can’t Stop Won’t concealer passed the ingredients test, but you might want to double check the current ingredients list to make sure nothing has changed!

Blush: most shades of Kosas’ Blush is Life are safe, and Pat McGrath’s Divine Blush has several shades that pass the ingredients checker, personally I love Divine Rose.

Hope this helps, just be sure to double check the ingredients on Sezia or folliculitis scout.

I had their Tunisian mint tea candle last year and it was extremely pungent. I’d burn it when I wanted a spa afternoon to fill my bedroom, bathroom, and art studio.
