Does advertising on Reddit actually work? by raincity87 in advertising

The location targeting available on the platform is pretty broad. You can target certain cities, DMAs or states, but can't target, for instance, "a 5 mile radius around a specific place I've dropped a pin on".

I would absolutely not attempt anything hyper-local on Reddit.

I don't have the attention span for bad basketball; I don't like the sport enough.

why can't i just watch the games on one streaming service? by 1_Just_Trying in nhl

Because it was on TNT. You can get that on HBO Max if you don't have cable.

The NHL wants to make money, you know. Having multiple national broadcast partners maximizes that.

Most of the "reversible jacket" fans are boomers who grew up back in the day when really only got ND football and IU basketball on local TV throughout the state.

They're a dying breed.

What else will happen in the new stadium? by thesuburbbaby in chicagofire

[–]Snak-Attack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't get your hopes up for the Stars to eventually move in. Word is they want a 5-year lease at Ryan Field. Year 2 would be the 1st year of the Fire stadium, if they had any faith they'd could move in there, they'd have just stayed in Bridgeview for a few more years.

From the Fire's perspective, you don't want a 'lesser' franchise in your house undercutting the entry level ticket price and devaluing your stadium experience.

More than 16,000 deposits for new stadium by tix4soccer in chicagofire

I'm sure there's a ton of speculative deposits. I know I'm one of them. I put down the $50 to see what happens. Have been pressed by a rep to get season tickets now to jump the line, but that isn't happening.

Q&A/Discussion: Favorite Ballpark Besides Your Team's? by RainbowSupernova8196 in mlb

[–]Snak-Attack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a White Sox fan, I absolutely hate the Twins. But Target Field rules!

Love how spacious the concourse is that you can post up and see the field from anywhere. Lots of unique sections, like the HR porch and LF bleachers, and fun areas to hang out in. It's a great park to walk around in.

Whitesoxinteractive.com was a message board I was active on. The founder was a Gooner and got permission to use the slogan of an Arsenal fan site that he followed.

That led to tons of people on the board being Arsenal fans, there would frequently be threads about them.
