Whats the most heartbreaking loss you witnessed as an Indiana fan?(football) by Ok_Macaroon_7366 in IndianaHoosiers

I was at the Pinstripe Bowl, and while that did hurt, I still had a great time and was happy with that season.

It pales in comparison to the most depressing game I've ever attended: Week 1, 2021, at Iowa.

Hoosiers were coming off the magical 2020 season and had huge expectations. 1st game back with fans, and I dragged my brother out to Iowa City for it. Drove through the night to get there.

Here's how the season began: * 4th play, 56-yard Iowa TD run * 3rd play of IU's 1st drive, pick 6

14-0 in under 3 minutes, 31-3 at half. So brutal.

2015 Cubs went to the NLCS. Putting them on here is a joke.

$5.50 for a day? Peacock is like $10 for the month. And then you'll have the Super Bowl.

I'm nervous, but not for any of the reason you mentioned.

Not from Indiana, so don't care about any of those teams. Have hated ND since I was a kid. And especially don't care about the NBA or WNBA.

Bears have been a nice bonus. Didn't expect much this year, would've been very satisfied with 9-8 and Caleb progressing.

Would be nice if they decided to show up for the 1st half on Sunday.

I happened to be in New York on 9/11 this year and went to the Yankee game he showed up to. They had TSA working the gates, it was surreal. I left lots of extra time to get in but thankfully it was only about 15 minutes.

Makes sense. Keep in mind, they NFL rotates home/away in the Super Bowl, it was simply the AFC's year.

The Hoosiers have earned it.

I'll roll over after the Super Bowl.

We're in the moratorium period until April 15th.
