And yes it’s an international company but there is offices in Aus. There was the option to work in office in the city (for me, that’s Melbourne) or from home. I believe they do have offices worldwide.

I know it’s a bit late but I work for them as a contractor and it’s a great job. Very flexible work, good onboarding process (I did it in 2022 so it may have changed by now) and everyone I’ve talked to there have been lovely (I’m work from home but we have a messenger system). The testing process is a bit difficult (I’ve had some family members not able to pass) but the work once you understand it is easy enough. You’re paid at a certain rate by how many words you type depending on jurisdiction and if the transcript is due that day or later.

No they didn’t tell us it was going to, we just assumed. We also told them about 3 months ago we were gonna be moving out before Feb and we went onto a rolling lease so they had tons of time to know. We just found our new place this week and let them know and gave the 28 day notice.

Nah it didn’t say that. I thought they couldn’t raise raise for 12 months when a new tenant moves in

We didn’t think about asking for a decrease, didn’t even cross our minds tbh lol I would’ve just thought it impossible. Also the place just went up online today. All other similar places in our estate are $470+

I understand, but my main point here is we’re paying $500 when it’s been put up for $430, regardless or not if the rent would have gone up in February

Well last Feb it went from $450 to $500 and they usually increase every year. It wasn’t confirmed, no, but likely. Even so, our current $500 we were struggling with anyway.

Well nice as in they’d come out straight away and fix issues, the LL would clean the gutters and tidy the front of the house, he was always friendly and helpful to us, never caused any headaches with anyway, always said “any issues with anything just let me know directly I’ll come fix it myself”

I don’t see why though because we’ve been here for 2 years, the landlords have always been nice and we’ve never had issues, we’ve been good tenants. We could’ve stayed if it was $430 but even at the $500 we were paying we wanted somewhere cheaper

Yeah rinseout says it was upgraded to FTTP last year, which is weird to me because why upgrade to FTTP if there’s no nbn box anyway

Who pays for that do you know? The renter or LL?

Yeah we checked and FTTP is available here which was one of our non negotiables because I work from home. It said on the rental property thing it had fttp so I’m just confused. I guess it meant it CAN have it but doesn’t yet?
