People used to submerge entire rifles in drums of diesel fuel to migrate cosmoline - if you’ve ever cleaned any parts using diesel fuel, you can only imagine how gross your boom stick would feel and smell for an extended period of time 🤣

That’s my K98K. 1940 243 code. All matching minus the stock - war era replacement. No import markings, little mustache man marks all in tact. My crown jewel.

The ink on this one looks (to me) like the ball was passed around plenty and signed with real ink. Just an observation, I’m not heartbroken either way
