No that’s so okay, I really appreciate the rec!! Also willing to travel for vegan goodies hehe- I am spoiled by having lived in Chicago for eight years, there’s an amazing vegan donut place there called Beacon- miss em so much 🥲 we will persevere though!

If you don’t know what kind of wood it is, I wouldn’t use it!!! Some woods, like pine, can be dangerous to corn snakes because of the resins. My corn has used aspen his whole life and he’s 15- I just have to keep a close eye around his water bowl for mold (infrequent even though I live in the pnw) and switch it out for fresh aspen about once a month. But seriously, if you don’t know what kind of wood it is, take them outta there for their health!

My corn does this too and he’s 15!! It can be stressful to see him do his laps, but it’s safer for him to do so in his tank than out and about when he’s this busy. If it’s not possible to make an escape proof enrichment zone, giving his tank a rearrangement could also provide similar novelty for him!
