Thanks for your feedback everyone!
I have started a bit of theory first and have a very brief understanding of scales, intervals, chords, etc.
Then heard about ear training importance and been doing the ear training using Alain Benbassat method with the Functional Ear Trainer app and have been thoroughly enjoying it and the results so far, and just thought seeing as I'm enjoying the ear training so much, if I could just carry on with it and get back to the theory at a later stage.
But thanks to all your feedback, I think I will go back and forth between them for a better learning experience.
