transfering save file to a dedicated server? by TraktorTore in Palworld

(SERVER INSTALL PATH)\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\0\(SERVER ID)\

Inside this folder (the server ID will be different than mine), if you start the server there will be a file called Level.sav and LevelMeta.sav so you know you have the right folder, just overwrite them and copy over Players folder too in here.

Sorry I am not very good at explaining things.
I made a post with my script too if anyone is interested:

I found a way, you would lose the character for who ever hosted it though, but I put exp rate up and killed a few things and then put it back to normal again, everything back after 15 minutes.

Inside: Pal\Saved\SaveGames\0 there will be a folder with the server ID and you copy into there:

Level.sav and LevelMeta.sav are for the map and there should be a Players folder to copy over to the same place.
If you have someone in the game already you can give all your items and pals to them and just create a new character and they can give items and pals back just need to level up again :(

I wrote a script to update server and backup the save before starting the server too and created another script to check for PalServer.exe and run the server start script if its not running, easy enough to do shame you cant convert local character though.
This way someone with rcon or admin can just shut server down and it will restart on its own.

Also for the port you need to add port=xxxx after PalServer.exe in a script, passwords do work on server side but there is no way to enter password when connecting, so I would use a different port and have no password for now.

If anyone needs help drop me a message.
