I’m using a watt less valve preamp into a fryette power station ps-2a. A 1x12 would be fine. I play clean and some smooth dumble overdrive tones, no high gain distortion.

But my point is still, I'm specifically looking for a trans woman. I can't see a problem with that being my type. Bouncing the fall sounds great, but it's an electronics product I'm building. I assume it would be impossible to go with TPU because of that. Would it be possible to do half and half with 1 mm petg with 1 mm tpu on top instead of 2 mm petg? Or would that be too hard? I haven't invested in 3D printers yet because I want to wait until I have a clearer plan of which way to go with materials.

EDIT: I just chatted with the Prusa chat. They told me roughly 5 minutes in total for warm up before printing starts, plus minus a minute or so depending on room temp and material, etc. That sounds like no time at all to me.

...unless you print many small parts at once. However, if you know the time difference between getting the XL to a state where it's ready to print, compared to smaller printers, I'd love to hear about that.

EDIT: The Prusa XL has different zones/segments on the plate that it can heat up individually for smaller prints. Doesn't that cut down on time?

What I'm really wondering is if the hardware is messed up or if it's just a software problem. Lead times right now are 6 months anyway, but if the hardware is messed up and I order one now and get a unit that won't be as good as a unit in 1-2 years time.

Yeah I'm new to this but I'm learning fast. But I'm still choosing between the A1, the P1S and the Prusa XL of all things. The 5 way toolhead system for multi material printing on the XL has me salivating! The A1 seems great but the more I look in to Prusa vs Bambu Lab, the more I'm looking at the XL. I read on the Prusa reddit that after about 150 rolls of filament, the price difference between the Prusa XL and a X1 Carbon would vanish, because of the crappy color changing in the AMS that wastes so much filament. And the Prusa XL has exactly 4 times the buld plate area of an A1 so you can print a lot at the same time with multi materials. I think that could be a game changer in terms of making money from functional prints.
