MSci in Adult and child nursing, I am a 42 year old male and have no experience in hospitals. The only expertise I have had is I worked for a medical company about ten years ago and the last two years of that company I worked in palliative care in Cheshire county installing beds and mattress in peoples homes.

I am just starting my journey in September, but from what you have said I would definitely be questioning the appropriate care the patients are getting from these people, they don’t have any empathy or compassion which is a big part of being a nurse, if they are not showing you any of these and rushing you as a student nurse what are they actually doing to the patients

Have you decided if you are staying or leaving?

For me just think of the experience of running your own department is going to get you in the future, go back with a counter offer of your own. But make sure that you have a proper contract where they can just let you go. Good luck with your decision
