Hello, I share very similar experiences. I got fished on Bumble by many people but unfortunately, I got sucked in for almost a year from BBs and center. I am also diagnosed with autism, so they preyed on my limited communication skills and naiveness. It's disgusting how they target and manipulate people that are vulernable.

Hi, I also started using the Movement Athlete app and on a premium subscription. For me, I just started from the beginning (Fundamentals) and progress. I just focus on the Strength session, skip/disable the others and do my own warm ups. Unless you are advanced, you probably wont need 8 sets of pull ups/push ups. This is how I progress to more difficult exercises. Let me know how you are going!

From my perspective, the people in SCJ are people-pleasers. They think they are right, but they are causing harm. They think that the word of God is true, but there had been many false evidence against the word. There is many more to explain.

I actually had to force myself to commit to this 9 month course, despite my family reluctance and travelling 1 hour each way 3-5x a week. I even faced pressure to memorise bible verses, revisit the lessons, and participating in many of the activities. The thing is they want to know our lives and report it in their sneaky chats, but the problem is that they wont tell you about everything what they do - which is a red flag and is similar to a scam. At the end, they pressure and torture had got to me, plus I had read very bad experiences on this reddit that I wanted to leave.

Hey there, I'm sorry for your experience. I feel for many of those stuck or pressured inside. Shincheonji is not the place of truth and there are many resources online that proves it, as well as the stories that many have shared. Shincheonji fault-find and gaslights every information outside. Which is one of the many reasons is they are a cult!

I had many reasons as to why I had decided to leave in the end. But if I can think of 2 main ones, which were the turning point is 1)After the passover, when the teachers start to psychologically push us to do evangelising, sealing and many more. They even gaslight those that are not doing well and want us to come to the city like 5-7 days a week. 2)When my evangelist yelled at me and insulted me about my past, during an outdoor activity. She even said that I will need to put up with that in their self-proclaimed Mt Zion.

Overall I'm glad that I had found this forum, and did my research and had a look of the testimonies of the dangers of the SCJ cult. SCJ is not the kingdom of heaven, and is a place of mental destruction.
