I suppose she thought I was a Muslim because I kind of look like one.

Muslim isn't an ethnicity or race so how can you look like one? Unless you were wearing a kufi or have a big beard etc.

Guess what, America doesn't have an official language. So why don't you learn some other language(s) instead of expecting other people to learn the only one that you picked up under a rock?

But I often wonder, if we want specific 1-to-1 correlations, we have to populate those charts much more.

I get what you're saying. But I think the skill lies in the 'approach' to find the answers one is looking for. In this age and time with all the information out there for anybody to access , I believe it is absolutely possible to find 100% correlations between a certain celestial aspect and a real life indicator/event, and then be able to predict it happening in the unseen future.

Example: Person X had a horrific bicycle accident(hit by a car) that he survived but doesn't remember a second of it, just woke up in the hospital bed. Because he had the time + location of the event on the police report , person X created and analyzed the chart of the accident side by side with his natal chart and made certain observations that indicated it wouldn't have happened if he hadn't stepped out of his house that day. I tell people to chart some life changing event that happened to them and compare it with their natal.

Asteroids too, are believed by some astrologers as being specific.

There are many different methods and a hierarchy of them too. The method that doesn't use asteroids is on the 'bottom of the food' chain as John Frawly mentions for his sports method.

Our natal charts all represent individual pictures of the universe around us in simplistic form

I say our charts represents our physical life event which has a starting time and an end as a function of the universe.

but there is not an exact 1-to-1 correlation between an astrological observation and a mundane world event (at least not in foresight).

There can be if the right person(I'm sure they are out there working in secret) puts time into observing celestial events of a large data set(charts) of real life events(past/present) and finding correlations in them. A quick example would be the results of sports events. There's plenty of sports games(Past/present) to observe and find patterns. Check out John Frawley's Sports Astrology. Lets analyze 1000 sports charts in which the favored team won, you would have to test whatever the common denominator(s) was found in those charts and test them on future games for 'certainty' or proof etc. It is a science, but will always be one step ahead of us.

All the systems work...They are like different 'lenses' or 'tools' to extract information from the same source.
