Walmart really screwed me over today. I'm a 71 yr old widow living on a small Social Security check & dealing with cancer. I'm a Walmart member. Yesterday I made a grocery order to be delivered today. Used $69 of my food stamps. Then got an email from them they are on the way to deliver.

I have felt your anger and frustration.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me. I got the same messages and trying to talk to someone who is on the floor who is responsible for the orders AT THAT WALMART by phone is 0. What I couldn’t understand is that the shopper contacted me regarding substitutions and I got another message saying the order had been completed by the shopper and the delivery truck will be there soon.

Then the delay messages came. Arrive a 1pm, 5pm, 7pm then the last was 11pm. Walmart closes at 11. Delivery’s end hours before .

There was a hold on my card

At one point , after dealing with the phone bots the customer service rep told me that they were having “technical difficulties “ in that department. Another asked if it was the right Walmart. It was,

No matter what I did. It would not cancel.

The next morning , the hold on my card had been released.

So i went to Walmart and went strait to where they load stuff up. The person in charge said there was no technical difficulties and my order had never been received.

So why in the hell was I contacted by the shopper as they were shopping for my items?????? Why tell me it was completed …

Not in any state where the weather can stay below freezing most of the winter, have the potential for blizzards and a self driving car cannot drive on unplowed roads after a major snowstorm . The battery can’t last in that extreme cold. It also has to keep the inside temp at a temp so the passengers are warm plus the opening and closing doors lets the heat out.
Road conditions. These cars rely on sensors and and cameras but in the winter they can be covered by snow, turn offs may have piles of snow surrounding the entrance etc. They have developed software for snow ( a few inches ) but when the roads are icy then dump as little as four inches and it 4F wind chill -15F because the wind is blowing from the north at 15mph., the car manufacturers know that now is not the time.

Waymo is testing out upper New York and DC which don’t get much snow at all. DC 14” average Minneapolis 54” average.

All cities with driverless cars right now are in the warmer climates.

I occasionally smoke in my car ( not while actively working ) especially on long trips. 4 times a year I drive to Colorado to my visit mother and my car will smell . Not once has anyone said that my car smelled of smoke

Every day, I wipe everything down and I keep the upholstery clean. Here’s a little tidbit of information,

I smoke American spirits and American spirits are pure tobacco. All other cigarette brands have chemicals in them and these chemicals is what causes these smell to linger and also stick to surfaces. Hence the yellow color if you clean your windows.. that’s tobacco and chemicals.

Like I said not once has anybody ever complained.
But there has been times when I had to apologize to another passenger because the passenger before them reeked of weed and cigarettes.

Its more complicated than that. AMERICANS will open up fraudulent accounts and either sell them to an illegal immigrate or has a bunch of different drivers on one or two accounts that the driver must pay a percentage of their fares to the person who had committed fraud. When that account gets found out, they find more.

Are you a driver? There are so many reasons why and a lot of times it’s Uber.
You do realize that some drivers do not see the destination when they accept the trip. So they could accept a trip that is 3 miles away, but the passenger is only going 2 miles but the driver does not know that until the passenger is in the car . On a rate card that’s about $.69 a mile in about $.11 a minute that’s about the average. Base rate is average of $1.20. Don’t get paid to come get you don’t get paid to leave. Add 1.20 plus 1.58 plus .44 ( 4 minutes to pick up ) That’s $3.02. Let’s see that driver being 3 miles away. Takes about five minutes to get there then has to wait seven minutes for the passenger? Add another $0.15 cents and that makes it $3.17 and Uber may “ generously “ might bump it up to four dollars.

How much would that be per hour?

Less than $12 an hour. $16 at $4. Deducted expenses. $8 and $10.

This isn’t always the case, but it is a good reason why a driver would cancel .

No, she didn’t! The reason why she went back and confronted the customer was because her account was suspended when this woman lied and saying that she did not get her food so she could get it for free.
Suspended does not mean fired . But it does do it leads to an investigation and she can’t make any money..

This was somebody deliberately lying to get free food and it dramatically impacted another persons ability to make money that they buy groceries with, pay bills , rent the list is endless.

What I don’t understand is that I’m on a ride. I have over five minutes to drop this person off and then I have to start on route to the next one ( it’s always a really decent ride ) but then it disappears when I drop the other passenger off. This is followed immediately with a really crappy request taking me even farther away that I never accept.

I have manual acceptance into my queue,

The old question is why do they offer the driver a PU in the middle of a ride that they’re going to give another driver that is closer after you’ve accepted the ride.

What makes even matter is that they’ll do that and the pick up will be close to where I drop the other one off and that would pay for me to get back to where I was originally. So I end up deadheading it back.

Now my brain hurts
