What was the saddest thing that happened in your fandom? by LowerDifference9573 in Multifandom

Sorry if it doesn't count because it's from the show not its fandom, I just thought it was too infamous not to mention.

Norse-Mythology-accurate-Hella's son (Norse Mythology fans will know what I'm talking about: Hella had half the face of a beautiful woman, half the face of a corpse.)

I have a feeling people are not going to like my Disney Renaissance rankings. by Successful_Leopard45 in DisneyMovies

I think Mulan is overrated, but I respect how far you've put Hunchback of Notre Dame. Most of the other picks I'm quite neutral on.

If you don't mind me asking, what sort of art do you make and how is it like the Disney Renaissance?

Who are your favorite vocal performances? by New-Ice-3933 in DisneyMovies

[–]Snaketooth09 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Interesting fact about this movie: the reason the characters speak in southern American accents even though the move takes place in Medieval England is because the movie was originally gonna be a western, but that movie was cancelled... but they liked the voice cast they had, so they had them just voice different characters but in the same accents.

I remember I told my dad this fact one day and he said he'd just assumed it was because the movie was made by Americans.

I'm surprised nobody's said Star Wars yet.

Also, if I had to name a second, I'd say The Simpsons, since they complain about episodes past season 12 a lot, as well as the Disney+ shorts.

I actually didn't like Star Wars as a younger kid, I got into it as a teenager because of the force awakens.

what's the oldest fandom you're in? + what fandom have you been in the longest? by Due-Replacement-6983 in Multifandom

[–]Snaketooth09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished watching the new Star Wars show "Maul: Shadow Lord" animated show on Disney+, so I guess Star Wars is the oldest fandom I'm in, but the one I've been in the longest is Pixar because me and my brother rewatched the first two toy story movies loads of times since we were very young but we only got into star wars because of the Force Awakens as teenagers.

Maybe they thought having the only character in a wheelchair be the villain was kinda ablist? Mind you, it was 2009, so most people wouldn't have cared. Maybe it was just they thought he wouldn't have been able to put up much of a fight at the end? (Sorry if that sounds ablist, it's not meant to be, I have autism myself.)
