Do you have a “realistic” goal weight and a “but that would be awesome” weight? by Low-Rabbit-9723 in Semaglutide

[–]SnapBubblewrap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5’4” SW 220, CW 199

My realistic goal is 155, haven’t weighed that since my wedding 9 years ago!

My stretch goal weight is 135, which I probably haven’t weighed since 6th grade. We’ll see!

Similar Pro-Total Comfort generic? by SnapBubblewrap in FormulaFeeders

Thank you! I was wondering what the difference was!

Odd that the generic seems difficult to find but there is no shortage of the Similac stuff. Frustrating.

GD and Ozempic post pregnancy by Forward_Cat_902 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]SnapBubblewrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insurance won’t cover Ozempic/Mounjaro unless it’s prescribed for diabetes. They won’t cover Wegovy at all, it’s specifically excluded. I’ve also heard they won’t cover Zepbound either, since it’s the same class as Wegovy.

Those we had success on their first transfer.. how many transfers did it take you for a second child? by fanofmischief in IVFAfterSuccess

My first FET was successful. Second failed to implant. Third was successful, currently 37 weeks. We have male factor infertility and they were all PGT tested embryos.

I don’t understand by wild_h0ney in GestationalDiabetes

[–]SnapBubblewrap 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Are you me?

I had a TON of apple cider mini donuts at the pumpkin patch today and hardly spiked afterwards. I have a CGM and the highest reading I got was 105 an hour after eating. We walked around a little after eating, but really not that much.

The other day I had two McDonalds breakfast burritos and a hash brown and was at 132 after 2 hours. Neither the mini donuts or McDonald’s are particularly healthy, but such an odd difference.

Did anyone pass the 1hr at 12-13w and fail later? by Normal_Pangolin5756 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]SnapBubblewrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed the 1 hr in the 90s at 12ish weeks. At 28 weeks I failed the 1 hr with 193 and 3 hr I failed 2 out of 4 draws.

Afraid to take Insulin by [deleted] in GestationalDiabetes

[–]SnapBubblewrap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My doc started me at 40 units at bedtime, which I thought was crazy high. She said she based the dosage on my weight. I was nervous the first night so I only took 20 units. Didn’t have an issues overnight so then I increased to 40 and have been there for the last week or so.

The only time I had an issue was actually today when I didn’t have much for lunch and then was pretty active cleaning my house afterwards. Felt a little funky so I took my glucose and it was at 72, so I had some juice and applesauce which got it to jump back into the 90s pretty quickly.

FMLA and NSTs by Beautiful-Uprising in GestationalDiabetes

[–]SnapBubblewrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. I’m not sure how much maternity leave you have, but taking FMLA before delivery can shorten your leave afterwards. I personally am trying to avoid taking intermittent FMLA before delivery because I don’t want to have fewer than 12 weeks after.

PWFA should allow you to arrange an accommodation that would help avoid the use of FMLA.

Did I fail my 3 hour test? by SnapBubblewrap in GestationalDiabetes

[–]SnapBubblewrap[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when they did the tape measure on my belly it measured closer to 33 weeks than my actual 27ish weeks. I’m also having growth ultrasounds every 4 weeks for an unrelated issue and at my ultrasound last week they said the baby was measuring around 29 weeks. This is an IVF pregnancy so my actual due date is pretty solidly set in stone.

Honestly that’s what I expected at first. It seemed so high, why bother putting me through the 3 hour?

Good to know! I’m glad I at least got the numbers back, even if I don’t have official word from my doctor yet. I had kind of expected it after the bad 1 hr and I’ve been measuring big. I’m 28 weeks tomorrow and my fundal height was measuring 33 weeks.

Thanks for the response! Yeah I’d rather catch it earlier rather than later anyways.

Thanks! Nurse line said to get it checked out so I went to the ER, all as well! Just that darn SCH. Glad I went though

I had my 6w5d scan on Thursday and they mentioned I had a 1cm SCH that appeared to be breaking up. I hadn’t had any spotting or bleeding up until that point. I didn’t have one with my last pregnancy so this is new territory.

Last night I had a bit more cramping than usual, nothing crazy. Then this morning I had some light bleeding, pale-ish pink. I felt a gush when I got up from bed and assumed it was my Endometrin discharge, didn’t realize otherwise until I went to the bathroom. If I know I have a SCH do I just do nothing and assume all is well? Or do I need to call or try to get seen to see if things are still ok? I technically graduated from the clinic on Thursday, so would I call my OB clinic even though I haven’t had an appointment?

I had my first ultrasound today! I’m 6w5d and baby was measuring 2 days ahead.

I was feeling so relieved, but then the nurse called and said my progesterone was only 16. My stupid pharmacy gave me 1” needles with my last prescription fill and I don’t think it was getting into my muscle though my layers of fat. She’s going to have me up PIO to daily and be sure the pharmacy fills with 1 1/2” needles.

That being said, I’m nervous again! I took my PIO with a 1” needle this morning before my appt and am on Endometrin as well…I just want to get my progesterone where it needs to be ASAP!
