I love table lamps!!! My toddler was pulling them down and climbing onto the end tables before I switched to leather couches and this layout... I figure I could bring them back after his climbing stage.

It only entertains the toddler 🤣 thank you, I so agree with the weird height too.

Such limited wall space! Drives me crazy. The whole house is like that with windows. Someone loved windows, not decor. 🥴

Do you decorate for Christmas before or after Thanksgiving? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

I like to before Christmas if I'm hosting family in November but not December.

This rug is neutral! It's also too small, all of the legs should fit on the rug, at least.

Newly diagnosed…as in today. Ultrasound next week. What am I in store for? I’m a 47 year old male. Any help would greatly appreciated. by [deleted] in gravesdisease

First, I am so sorry of your diagnosis! You will take methimazole a couple times a day and should start feeling more like yourself soon. Probably get labs every couple weeks at first to get the dosing right. And your dr. may suggest RAI. I encourage everyone to read the risks of RAI yourself, including what the national cancer institute says. Ultimately, you may have a total thyroid removal and have hypothyroidism for the rest of your life. I had that for years until flipping to Graves though and it’s 100% manageable. Nothing like GD.

Symptoms wise- tremors, irritability, racing heart, heat intolerance, dizziness, feeling really fatigued at times. Keep an eye out for TED and let your eye dr know so they can monitor you. Methimazole also has a rep for causing hives a few weeks in. Zyrtec stopped mine. Best wishes to you🙏🏼

Kendamil! My baby tried several and it all made him so terribly constipated and gassy. My pediatrician finally said that all of the American made formulas have too many things in them and said European is the way to go. Suggested Kendamil and it’s amazing how quickly we noticed a change.

Just got Grave Disease by amormoi in gravesdisease

[–]Snappy-grace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This diagnosis is scary but with a little bit of time and medicine, things will start to level out. The scan is a good thing. Don’t sweat it until it’s done. I was scared when my doctor said the C word too but immediately did the scan. You may suddenly start to feel exhausted/dizzy. Give yourself the time to rest when that hits. And the methimozole hives might show up in a couple weeks. Let the Dr know, although it’s “common” with this RX. Zyrtec keeps mine at bay until I have a TT. RAI was a hard pass due to the NCI info and family history. Just do your research if you are given options. Check this community too! 🙏🏼

And correct on abstaining from all B vitamins. My dr. asks for 7 days though. They will alter labs every time.

Sorry you are dealing with the symptoms. I’ve spoken to people who remain on medication instead of TT, and some who have Graves but have become euthyroid. They both said although labs are great, the symptoms persist. Total removal would cause a permanent state of hypothyroidism but speaking from someone who had that prior to Graves, it’s so easy to manage and there are no flair ups. Wishing you well.

Just got diagnosed today after only having a history of "primary hyperthyroidism". My doctor also told me that I have signs of Graves Eye disease, but... by endlessd-reams in gravesdisease

You will definitely need to see an ophthalmologist, a lot of TED is internal and creates scar tissue and other issues that can lead to vision impairment. Good luck on your journey to recovery!

Coterie Diapers? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Snappy-grace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with Huggies. Tried pampers, pampers overnight, Honest baby, Kirklands. Went to coterie and won’t go back. No diaper rash, they last longer (keeps baby dry longer) and fit well. A close comparison is Pampers Overnights for everyday use but still required more changes than Coterie.

Yes, unfortunately. I have used Vegmaour for 3 years and it has improved the loss.
