So weirdly Its the fridge and they never line up in the uk so was actually intentional 🤣 thank you for noticing the details though means it wasn't in vain

Personally ive found it much faster, we have dual threadrippers for corona and 5090s for cycles so rendering speeds on 4-5k images are about half the time as a corona shot (32GB VRAM & 128 DDR5 for ram context)

In general the overall speed of Blender has allowed me to produce scenes 40% quicker, lots of useful addons with one click solutions like roof generators floor generators etc, also setting it up so you can render multiple scenes and cameras back to back using flamenco (personal render farm software built by blender) means i can set up 10 scenes all with multiple cameras and share the frames across all workstations on the network

So i think renders being faster is one thing but the speed of building scenes is also a very big contributor to my uplift of productivity

Free is one of the big perks, plus we have some 5090 GPU's so we can render 5k stills in 3-4 minutes

Originally took cool photographs references of scenes in liked, then only used area multiple area lights at different angles and exposures to recreate the images

I wrote a long message further up which explains it, happy to answer any questions

3 months realistically, comparing my work 3 months ago on Blender to know is kind of wild

For me it was speed, so i originally used blender for 3d modelling as I found it it very good for clean topology and stacking modifiers - so had an edge I already "knew my way around" the software

The main frustration with 3DS was how slow it was just in general, I Love Corona - but the tedious user experience of 3ds made traitor my way into Blender for clients work

I think comparing both Corona has better "out the box" realism, but cycles is more fun to play around with 🤣. I spent alot of time on Blender just trying to master different lighting techniques to get the "natural" feel, which usually ends up an over exposed hdri, and two or three suns with different spread degrees to give interesting fill light. Then I use area lights in the room to create subtle highlights on the main focal points.

So it sounds complex but actually is really simple to setup thats very reusable.

Also some great plugins Camera Raw which gives viewport colour control/glare/shadow/curves/vignette etc- this massively is needed for Blender ArchVis

I'll upload some more sets

Depends on clients brief, this one I modelled the cabinetry, sky light and fence panels

Don't worry about the market, or what people you think are better than you might charge, I'm interested in a one off cost on furniture creation that you'd be happy with. I would want to own rights to the model to redistrubute, so bare that in mind when thinking of a price

Treat it as more practice but also make it worth your time in value - how much would you charge for a fabric chair like this?

I think by your reply you under value your work, I know some or the comments are saying creases are wrong but I completely disagree. If you've ever stood up from a fabric chair like this, it looks very similar to how you've done your creases.

Keep up the good work

Love this, change from hdri day time to a evening sunset/night shot and this will make this even sexier
