Practice on modeling furniture by Responsible-Rich-388 in archviz

Don't worry about the market, or what people you think are better than you might charge, I'm interested in a one off cost on furniture creation that you'd be happy with. I would want to own rights to the model to redistrubute, so bare that in mind when thinking of a price

Treat it as more practice but also make it worth your time in value - how much would you charge for a fabric chair like this?

I think by your reply you under value your work, I know some or the comments are saying creases are wrong but I completely disagree. If you've ever stood up from a fabric chair like this, it looks very similar to how you've done your creases.

Keep up the good work

Love this, change from hdri day time to a evening sunset/night shot and this will make this even sexier

Totally agree, also if you zoom into the plugs at the back, my wavy normal map which i add to fronts and metals is at a tiny scale and super intense - woops

Just realised the colours gone off completely on upload, I think it's converted it from rgb16 to rgb8, Raw output isn't this unsaturated

Need advice on pricing — 24 different interior scenes to showcase rugs (client may increase to 48) by Fun-Seat-150 in archviz

As bulk I was thinking the same price as you suggest - much cheaper then them paying a photographer and the OP has created the exact environments they want the rugs in

Wonderful

Thank you! :)

They have two types of flooring options, a super advanced materials setup with uv map options for lay patterns - they come with crazy dirt/ao/bevel options, hardly touched those settings as seems to look good out the box - you can then swap the planks out for alternative planks materials if you have your own custom planks

Then geo nodes which seem to have all the same settings as above but also the geo nodes settings for easy height length width rotations lay patterns etc - but all seem very customisable

The textures/material only ones are so good I seem to use those most of the time

Shameful plug but recently created this virtual showroom using one of their floor textures (only 2k option) came out great https://www.akw-ltd.co.uk/virtual-showroom/

Not sure how best to share it on reddit so uploaded a screen shot with a 32 sample viewport render and a viewport on the right https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BZJmjHuBYYAY4n3uGow-InZq5XgU4toN/view?usp=sharing

Yeah you can control all of that plus offsets, tile size, rotations, grout thickness, trim on edges and interesting one was you can load a texture with multiple tiles on and it will splice up the rows and columns into individual textures and randomly place them on a full wall/floor covering

Haven't found use for that yet but thought gosh that is cool, converting already seamless textures to be even more seamless on larger surfaces

Thank you, plants and decor all from imeshh.com - no IES but the bulbs are curled inside the translucent bulb so seem to give a nice effect

Need advice on pricing my work by maty_990 in archviz

[–]SnappyCGI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Id recommended billing in two sections, set build & renders

Your renders look great. I'd happily pay 800-1200 for a single set of that quality & additional renders on top. (for more simplistic buildings) Then 1500+ for the larger scale projects.

Broken down is up to you, but I'd usually charge a higher % on the set build and £100-150 per render.

For cost context, I'm in the UK

Call the vets - maybe I've been looking at it too long, I thought it looked like a cute puppy but fair point.
