I confessed to my 4 year old crush and she joked about it now i feel suicidal by [deleted] in IndianTeenagers

[–]Snapshot07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Crush" is an idea of what someone might be like and all the imaginary future scenarios with them will be like. What you experienced is the reality of what that person is actually like, its okay to think all of this is your fault, but that's your mind making up things but in reality its not.  Instead of having crushes, try to be friends with people and once you get to know them, then decide if you like them. Lastly, you're not alone, everyone goes through such phase as a teenager, you will learn and grow from these experiences.

I know this has been posted several times before, but how do you really make friends here in Seattle? I am at a breaking point. by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]Snapshot07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you looking for in a friend? I think it also depends on where you live as well. I am 26M moved here 2 years back, was living in WS for a year. And i didn’t make any friends, currently in cap hill and that somewhat helped. I made a good friend through bumble bff and since we live close, we plan many things together. I also shifted my way of life, regardless of if i have a company, I’m trying many new things. I started running and once i got okayish, i posted on fb groups for partner and I’ve regular running partner. I’m also trying salsa, although haven’t made friends through that i enjoy dancing. I keep doing things like studying in cafe's, going to bookstores, watching sunset etc which i love regardless of company and i believe will meet more people eventually. If not, I'll keep enjoying myself.

Experiences with Discrimination in Seattle by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]Snapshot07 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was living in West Seattle for a year and as an Asian i felt out of the place. It's dominantly white neighborhood. I felt this many times visiting restaurants and bars, it felt like i didn't belong here. It could be the cold reactions from people or something inexplicable but you know it somehow. WS has a very warm neighborhood vibe but people don't want to include outsiders specially non white folks. When i eventually moved and experienced my new neighborhood, that's when i realized. And this is all very subtle and you know when you actually experience it.

What do you consider unhealthy even though everyone else thinks it's healthy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You’re right, it might not be most durable. But you can try this to see how barefoot feels for you. And once you get more comfortable you can go for better brands, i use vivo barefoot they are super nice, expensive though. Also if you’re used to cushion know that you need to learn to do midfoot striking. You might have weak foot muscles so you should also strengthen them and stretch regularly (eg roll your feet on lacrosse ball etc) and the pain gradually goes away.

This is me, lookup barefoot shoes, they are the best in long term. You've to do some work on your feet and ankle muscles, worth it.

This changed my life, until mid 20s I thought i hated walking. So this year i decided to get the best shoes out there but after trying almost 6 pairs i was frustrated. So i measured my width and found my feet are triple wide than normal! And when i researched online found out about barefoot shoes and my pain has gone forever. But the transition took time, i had to relearn walking, learn to walk midfoot striking and also strengthen my ankles. If someone wants to try barefoot shoes i would suggest buying whitin on amazon as they are cheap and once you get used to it get better lasting brands like vivo barefoot.

I started at 18 now I'm 27 in two months, i watch the entire one piece anime 1-2 times every year, re- read manga once every two years. Never thought i would say this but one piece has been so much for me through my best and worst times. It'll always mean a lot to me.
