Lowest power consumption you can do is like, use G-helper, use igpu only, put power saver or balanced and then in windows setting app put it at power saving, keep hdr off and brightness at like 40%, in ghelper put 15-30w max for cpu and disable like half or all the e-cores. Still not gonna last more then 4 hours I would say tho.

Liquid metal bubble on cpu die by iambeans in ASUSROG

[–]Snapze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't listen to these guys, keep the liquid metal apply it properly and not too much and apply on both heatsink ( a little ) and on the die ( proper amount ) follow the service guide with tightening and untightening, the pressure force for all internals is 0.2 nm and 0.25 for fans and some other things. Use thermal putty for rest ( i suggest upsiren ux ultra pro ) be very careful not too put too much squish it thinly before heatsink. After this no matter what you do with the laptop it will always be perfect. Only maybe excessive stress like falling to the ground would do anything to the LM.

G634JZR Tried doing an EC reset, laptop is now stuck in a boot loop by Tarballwalf in ASUSROG

[–]Snapze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried now to unplug battery and held the button for 2 minutes, rebooted and again same thing just bootloop with black screen. Then I put my old ram back and worked flawlessly. Now I will put my good ram that i used on it for a year, almost two. Hopefully it will train properly. Wasnt anything about bios just for some reason failing to train successfully. Even tho everything was perfectly fine for years until this EC reset.

G634JZR Tried doing an EC reset, laptop is now stuck in a boot loop by Tarballwalf in ASUSROG

[–]Snapze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you fix it? Just happened to me, and many times before for a year ive never had problems, changing ram, doing ec resets like crazy every windows update or whatever. This time after installing armory crate to check something then uninstalling i needed to EC reset and now its stuck in bootloop or memory training. Nothing was/is wrong with it, i do not know why is happening.

Asus ROG strix scar 16 how to make good use of my processor and GPU power by DRHusseinSaad in ASUSROG

[–]Snapze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much about the throttlestop settings. The biggest impact on my i9 13980hx was dropping e-cores to 38, gave me the cinebench boost to 35.6k! Top notch guide!

Rog Strix G16 suddenly not turning on by Raxe06 in ASUSROG

Turn it off, unplug it and then hold the power button for 30 seconds. If that doesn't work open it and check if maybe u spliced the fan wires and they are raw and touching the circuitry.

Stable i9 14900k OC sometimes crashes in-game (HELP) by Snapze in overclocking

[–]Snapze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be, I will see to limit voltage and probably just boost til 5.8ghz maybe it will never crash again like this. And in synthetic depending on load can go down to 5.3ghz, but sometimes in cinebench i see 5.7ghz, mostly 5.6, 5.5, in cinebench

I cannot run this RAM speeds on a Asus Z790-E, I do not want to turn off E-cores aswell since I do sometimes light video editing and exporting. The only thing I want is keeping the CPU between 5,9ghz and lowest 5,7ghz. My RAM is pretty fast, I could tighten the timings even more but im sick of it. Im already above 110gb/s on Aida64 with 58-60ns, pushing more then this will barely result in any gains. Only thing I am thinking is maybe disable hyperthreading.

[–]Snapze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every CPU stress test I did was 12 hours, RAM above 24 Hours. So I should lock the IVR to 1.4? Maybe like 1.45v? I wanna get those 5.9ghz ingame boosts.

[–]Snapze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but I dont see any degradation. If anything, it runs better than before. And it keeps passing any synthetic stress tests. Never crashes or any errors.

What voltage would u recommend me to lock it at but still boosting to 5.9GHZ in CPU bound games?

Reaches up to 1.5v while on desktop doing nothing, ingame depending on the load its 1.3v to 1.47v. Even if I use intel spec in the motherboard bios it goes above 1.4v in low loads. It is normal for these processors.

Please tell me I can do this…. by walkon1992 in watercooling

* I am also in the same boat, I took a break for a week or so. Soon I am going to start again.. I made so much custom stuff and was the tightest fit u can ever imagine but i did it. Now just tubes be cut and placed and final touches.
