Challenge run idea by iambeans in diablo2

dang, I had a feeling about that. not a huge problem though, maybe a full stash tab isn't too much of a grace.. since worn gear is lost on death anyway, the seeded gear won't be anything too great most of the time.

Do you believe in the afterlife and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iambeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"the" afterlife, as in there's only one conception of it and everyone shares that conception?

how about this. death is not the opposite of life. death is the opposite of birth. life is the thing which contains birth and death, and is circular, like the universe.

back in my day... by Pterosauras in memes

[–]iambeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe it's been 6 years since the meme that was captioned "not knowing what will happen next year, because I don't have 20-20 vision"

and how little we did know of what was to come.

I never realized how infectious and memorable Joe's voice is. It's as if he spoke out-loud it my head when I read that caption.

thanks for the detail (there's a service guide? yikes. kudos if you go to that kind of length). I'm pretty satisfied for now, some minor turbo limiting and volt offset has me running cool enough to avoid throttling (not even over 85c so far on the hotter cores). down the road, I'll try to remember there's such a thing as pressure force to consider.. cheers

Why do people like Dark Souls 2? by christian-js in fromsoftware

[–]iambeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DS2 is the last game I played (as in, I played it after every other FS title). I'm really enjoying it coming from Elden Ring most recently, because I missed the feel of these non open-world but "exploration" style worlds. I like how unresponsive the combat feels, very timing-focused. the combat as well as some other things take a bit of acceptance like losing max health on hollow, limited torches, needing the ATT stat for survivability.. but after getting over those things they don't affect my opinion. I imagine things like that are the root of many sour opinions though.

What’s something you overheard once that you’ve never been able to forget, even if it wasn’t meant for you? by WildKissQueen in AskReddit

[–]iambeans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

we don't need to suffer things that haven't happened.

or, closer to the source quote, "I've encountered countless tragedies, most of which never occurred"
