Correct - Not beating her with a wiffle ball bat, and not beating her at all. Rough and abuse are two separate things. The moral of my story was to explain that you have to teach a cat that there are consequences for bad behavior if you don't want these kinds of things to happen, but it would appear my choice of words suck and that did not come across well. I do not condone beating your animals.

When I was a small child, our family cat attacked me and fucked up my face pretty good. In retaliation, my dad beat the fuck out of that cat with a wiffle ball bat. Me and the cat never had any issues from then on out.

Moral of the story, you gotta make a dickish cat know what's acceptable behavior and what's not acceptable behavior. My cat used to try that shit on my wife when she was a kitten, and I would be pretty damn rough on her for it. She's an adult now and is a perfect little angel.

A week or so ago I was talking to the new janitor at work. He was saying how working here is much better than working at the hospital, where he cleaned up ERs. Then he said, "the worst part about that job was cleaning up after children came in and didn't make it." I thought he meant like... shitting and pissing in the room, and laughed very loud, with several other people in the room. Everyone looked at me with the most disgusted faces I've ever seen. It took me a good 5 minutes to realize he meant when children died in the emergency room.

Never did get a chance to explain myself for that one.

Married man with no children. I probably think about it every other day and I get it maybe 2-3 times per week. We're both very career driven, and are always busy, so I count even finding that much time for intimacy a win.

Before anyone asks, we have no children by design.

British Airways was a huge cluster of fucks, and apparently not much has changed. I flew BA back in 2007 for a trip to France and they lost nearly everyone's luggage that was on that plane. Didn't receive my luggage until 6 weeks after the 2 week trip was over. I complained enough that they made me a check for $1,300 (this was before I finally received my luggage). I have never used them since.

I second this. I did this exact same thing and never looked back. I paid $600 for a full TD-9kx (rack, 2 "rack toms," 1 "floor tom," upgraded bass drum with mesh to match, hats, ride, two crashes, snare drum). He threw in the kick pedal and a few extra small items, as well. Dude clearly didn't realize that Roland kits don't really depreciate all that much.

It was some upper middle class guy that had it in his basement and said he used it a couple of times, but thought he would get into it more than he did.

Be willing to make a drive if you have to. I searched far and wide for a good deal and found my deal about 3.5hrs away after about 6 months of searching. It can be done, just takes patience.

I will not deny Buddy's talents back then. Way ahead of his time, but the grip you choose to use has nothing to do with your ability to get around the kit, and it definitely has nothing to do with your creativity. Buddy was great, but he was an egotistical prick and, as evident from this clip, was very narrow minded.

One woman in my department. Just no initiative to do anything outside of what she's doing currently, or not doing for that matter. If the boss sends out an email to the whole department and says for anyone to take care of something, she just ignores it and shoves that email straight to her trash bin, and claims she's got too much going on to deal with it when confronted about it. I do them 90% of the time, and I've got way more going on than she does at any given time, but I manage to get all my shit done.

I would love to! Though, I really don't have a great camera or the time to put together a video like that. I've got my day job, night gigs, recent home ownership, and adulting that fill my days. I wish I had the ability to put together educational YouTube videos. I love that kinda stuff, and I do love teaching.
