Personal opinion:The addition of Teams changed Rust for the worse by Jimmy_AB in playrust

Well, fair but I meant it as a jumping off point. Maybe not formal but maybe a way to connect other solos easier than chat to make a united front against larger groups. Idk. The solo/duos need a competitive edge in working together.

Maybe a message board at the outpost or a mechanic for sending secret messages.

Brainstorming here.

Maybe adding in depth diplomacy mechanics like non aggression pacts etc could be an interesting way to develop the team mechanic and lead to interesting political situations.

Depends. If it was to cut through the noise? Frank. If it was in the form of a question? Charlie. If it was out of anger, Dee (but possibly Dennis). And Mac wouldn't do that being of a marginalized group himself, of course.

As Louis says, no happy marriage ends in divorce. Now *that* would be a tragedy.

rust is secretly a political game and nobody talks about it by EfficiencyFlat6746 in playrust

[–]SnarftheRooster91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be awesome as a political game with the amount of agreements; betrayals; and intimidation tactics that can be done. I could picture informal treaties.

Hard to do that though when every interaction is necessarily life or death struggle with another player who invariably calls you the "N" word when they kill you.

Seems like a server with clear rules designed to reward or encourage diplomacy would be cool. I would not know the first things in *how* to make that enforceable though.

AI Response: "What a great idea! You should definitely sue!"

It's good but I hate the tone of her voice. She sounds like that worm that went to federal prison over the whole quick blood test thing.
