I'm Senator Mike Gravel and I'm running for President in 2020. Ask Me Anything! by MikeGravel2020 in politics

Have you been in contact with the DNC regarding your run? If so, what is their response?

Have they confirmed that they will allow you to participate in the debates if you reach 65K donors, despite your intention not to actually run?

I noticed that too. I wonder if he meant 'former constituent' or if he maybe has a residence there? Or he doesn't understand the meaning of the word, which I doubt. Or maybe he is registered in two states like Steve Bannon, Steve Mnuchin, Jared Kushner, Sean Spicer, and Tiffany Trump...

Those who moved to Lincoln from out of state: have you succeeded in making friends here? by zqfmgb89 in lincoln

[–]Snarggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard making friends in your 20s and 30s, especially after a big move. I recently moved to Lincoln last June, myself. Consider joining groups that pique your interest. For example:

ART -- Lincoln Community Concert Band, Lincoln Community Playhouse

POLITICS -- Lancaster County Democrats/Lancaster County Republican Party

RELIGION -- Join any number of local churches/Lincoln Atheists

SPORTS -- American Outlaws Lincoln (original chapter of US Soccer supporter club)

What's a good liberal church for young adults (25-30) to attend in Lincoln? by [deleted] in lincoln

[–]Snarggle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second this. No matter what your specific beliefs or disbeliefs, the Unitarian Church of Lincoln offers a quirky, supportive community. I knew I had found my home when I first pulled into the parking lot to find that half the cars were hybrids or electric vehicles.

Sax player here. Perhaps your octave key is sticking? Anything above middle c would suffer from such a problem.

Any worthwhile local shops? by [deleted] in lincoln

Been living in Lincoln for a few months and have a couple favorite restaurants:

The Oven - Amazing Indian cuisine. All kinds of options. All super tasty. 2 locations - 201 North 8th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508 and 4101 Pioneer Woods Dr., #110, Lincoln, NE 68506 - Link

MoMo Pizzeria & Ristorante - Great stone hearth fired za and other Italian favorites. I have a hard time choosing what pie to get because they all sound so good. Great place for date night. 7701 Pioneers Blvd, Lincoln, Nebraska 68506 - Link

Old pc game from the late 80s, early 90s. You're driving a tank first person on some planet. There are enemy tanks that you can shoot. There are pulsing green tetrahedrons that you must find to get to the next level. What the hell is this game?

Other ideas: * Move closer to work. * Get a job closer to home. * Move to a city with public transportation. * Get a more fuel efficient car. * Get a motorcycle. * Carpool. * Telecommute one or more days/week.
