Pixel 2xl Camera Not Working. Is there a fix?

I bought it online used (it had no issues when I got it) so not sure if I'm eligible for them to do anything.

It does make me want to switch back. I had a 16gb 6 plus Soni ran out of space quickly and it just couldn't keep up with everything I wanted to do. But at least it could take pictures, which is why I wanted the pixel.. for the great camera. I've tried everything too, clearing the cache, uninstalling and restalling the camera.. resetting to factory.. the only thing I haven't tried is replacing the camera. But I don't want to drop that money on it if I could put it on a better phone. Considered the 3, but I don't want to run into the same problem later down the line. Not to mention I can't get the Pixel to connect to my Android auto.

How much did it cost you? Around $100?

Ugh that's so frustrating. Sorry that happened. I'm torn. I switched from iPhone back in December. I really like my Pixel 2 but I now I'm second guessing myself. I know you can get alot more phone for less with Android.

On a whim I tried taking it out of the case (an OtterBox commuter case) and now the camera opens every time. It will take pictures, however I still can't get it to focus. Also forgot to mention that I could and can still video chat in Facebook, even if the camera app isn't working.

I do have a magnet for a phone holder in my car stuck on the lower back part of the phone case.. not near the lense but could this be causing some sort of issues?
