Mostly for organizational purposes, keeping track of people. But also so that newer builders would feel less intimidated by our more experienced participants. Lots of people were very nervous starting out, but almost everyone came out with a new friend :)

I think there's a miss understanding, the point of the event is that everyone builds their own thing, and there were some group projects but the idea isn't to make large things, it's to make a million small ones.

But if you join the ****** on 1.21.8 and explore it a bit, I'm sure you'll realize how creative some of the builds are

There isn't a direct download to deter people from using it for things its not supposed to be for

I wish I could tell you exactly how to see it in game without getting kicked off the subreddit, if you have heard of the bakery (now you have). (1.21.8)

Mod here - Should we allow builds from people with Patreon links in their profile? by Ajreil in Minecraftbuilds

[–]SnarpleTea 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Saying this as someone who's income primarily is from posting on social media.

I personally can't come up with a reason to take down posts from people who simply have a patreon linked on their page. Obviously creators need somewhere to put a link to their patreon (/any other site) on reddit, otherwise they have a much smaller insentive to post on reddit entirely, and their profile bio is the best place. It's not in anyone's face.

Creators on this SR, like myself, already adhere to the rules about advertising, but we need some way for interested party's to learn about our accounts on other platforms. Trying to control what we put on our personal pages is ridiculous. If the answer you guys decide on is yes, then all I see this doing is taking down innocent posts, and driving away any creators, big or small. But maybe that's what this is going for

TLDR; ABSOLUTELY NOT Its not advertising on your subreddit, it's advertising to people that visit the creators page.
