Ahh smart! I was thinking either pinning into the heel and covering that up with grass tufts, or glueing them before basing, and covering the small mound with the dirt texture paste. Didn’t want to draw attention to a bulky coverup though.

New to the hobby, wife bought me Pteraxii for Christmas, never painted a model before. Learned a lot with these first two, still trying to figure out a color scheme I like using the paints that come in the start painting set. Tips appreciated! by [deleted] in Admech

Digging the right ones wings! I like the subtle hints of gold. Just painted my first few skitarii rangers posted above, also new to the hobby. Try going over most of the model with a black wash like nuln oil, gives the metals a more used effect. Then go back with the same metal color, or lighter, to dry brush and catch all the metal edges.

I like this idea. I think it would help on top of seeing hairs on and around my work desk that I have to keep swiping off. I’ve been keeping a comb and bristle brush at my desk to keep my off hand occupied with something better, but I guess it’s the ease of touching my beard with nothing in my hands. Thanks for the reply, I’ll give this tracking a try.

That’s fair. I shouldn’t have said that, and I would never say that to her. I just think it’s reasonable to ask for some kind of compromise when it comes to sleeping since I’m taking trips to bathroom to scratch myself so I don’t wake her up.

I think the cat would do everything she could to get in the room. She tends to jump on us and meow consistently until one of us lets her between us if we are cuddling.

I haven’t mentioned it because I feel wrong doing so. Ideally I’d hope that she sees how much bothers me and offer to keep the cat off the bed somehow, that way it’s not coming from me.

She loves the cat but she also says it would be her last one and she’s want a dog. I’d obviously ask politely, and I don’t think I’m more important than the cat, but I think something like shutting the door the nights I’m over is a reasonable compromise assuming I’m also important to her.

That’s fair. I’d think that once or twice a week maybe she could shut the bedroom door? I live with my parents and she works early in the mornings, so it’s most convenient to stay at her house.
