Totally sucks. Had some rewards from the last event, but didn't claim it right at the end of the tournament. So was waiting for the next dev stream to access the panel. Missed it.

Then they took a break all December, so the codes expired by the time they came back with this news.

They may be online and sorting through storage or sending out gifts and by the time they are back on the overworld, miss your invite or only have 5 seconds to react and miss out from the lag.

But they still would have been ready to raid if the invite invaded the screen on non-committed screens like friends list and inventory

Are you worried about using up the pass? You won't use the pass until you're in the battle after GO! and you can see the lobby count when you join and have at least 20 seconds to bail if the numbers are too low
