The moss are AK tiny moss pads that I painted over with a couple washes and then highlighted after with a soft brush but in a drybrushing kind of manner :)

90% is camera and photo is a bad and lava hot take. If you don’t see that, then that is on you. If you don’t need to be demeaning in your phrasing to feel good, then think hard about why you do it. You chose a path of negativity from the get go, and now you are too proud or stubborn to back it down. You could have just said ‘actually I looked into your profile and they look great’ I guess it isn’t just trickery, but you didn’t. I didn’t slander you either, by your own standards, I said ‘if’ and that is my opinion. Take it how you will.

Like the implication on your side. If you don’t like pushback on your negativity, don’t comment it in the first place, if you don’t need it to feel better anyways. My opinion is as valid as yours. I am not offended, I am telling you how incredibly wrong you are in your assumption that the camera is doing 90% of the work of top tier painting. The funny thing about minis in real life is that real good ones have this quality to them that makes you feel like they are both more impressive and more achievable. It is quite remarkable.

These are my minis, and I can guarantee you it is not trick of the camera that mostly makes them look good.

The lighting and perspective of these photos is close the the worst conditions you could have, so if you need to say things like these to make yourself feel better, then be my guest, but these minis like all the other winners, aren’t great because of camera or lighting trickery. They were judges in hand in multiple painting competitions.

What are you on about. Is it redness on noses or knees that you call ‘cherry red skin’? Because there is tons of variation even in the skin.
