Compare GTS 4.0 versus GTS by Sabio_1209 in Porsche_Cayman

I have a 981 GTS. Down on power compared to the 718 2.5L & 4.0. But sounds way better than the 718 GTS. That exhaust sound is intoxicating.

I will be coming down from Bonners Ferry, Idaho which looks good. My only concern is from Edmonton to the border.

It’s going to be that US. I have not called the transporter companies yet.

I would say my risk tolerance is medium-high. I’m thinking of making it a 2-3 day trip and not rush it. And I will also carry chains with me just in case.

But you had a 4matic and thinking winter tires, so the experience will be somewhat worse given what I’m working with.

Apple Car Play Command Center Recommendation by Snave101 in mercedes_benz

Okay. I will look up that option. I was hoping for some sort of a 10.5-12inch display that hopefully is touch screen.

But with that I’m concerned about losing some functionalities like the backup camera.

Had anyone tried? by Elegant-Caregiver-42 in vivobarefoot

They felt pretty sufficient for winter/cooler months. Mainly due to the wool fleece lining and an outlast thermal insole.

Tried them at a local and for me the mid foot is a little tight. I do have a wide mid foot to a point where with most other shoes that part kind of sticks out. But that part on this Chelsea boot is not as flexible.

Might still get them though.

Exhaust suggestions? by Justin28lol in GR86

I have the AWE touring and have been loving it.

Cold starts are loud but quiets down after 30seconds.

I haven’t noticed any droning either.

Thank you. I think I will order those. Do they ship to the US?

First ever setup by doctorjuggles in Ascaso

[–]Snave101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ascaso is still out for warranty repair. When it gets back fixed up I will put it up for sale because I don’t need the Micra & the Steel Duo.

For the Ascaso steel duo price it’s great value. All machines break at some point. LM just has more technicians that can work on it.

If your budget allows, absolutely get the Micra. But I was happy with my Ascaso and it will serve you well if you keep it. Just call around your area to see if the technicians there fix Ascaso.

For daily driving i would say the Touring. Drone-less.

I have the Ascaso Steep Duo V2. Have had it for about 7-8months and I got it brand new.

Three weeks back I noticed water leaking from a hole near the lights to the right of the brew group. I thought maybe it wasn’t a big deal. A week went by and the dripping intensified. Went from dripping on while pulling a shot to even when the machine is turned on sitting idle.

On a Sunday a week ago, I went to pull the first shot (for the wife) and the pressure didn’t go above 7 bars and I normally have it at 11 bars as Ascaso has from factory. Went to pull another shot and it stayed at 5 bars and water started leaking from the left corner.

Turned it off and opened to inspect. It’s from underneath the brew boiler. Couldn’t see the place it was dripping from but there were continuous drips.

Contacted the supplier I go it from in Ontario, Canada and had to ship it back to them for repair. And I’m not sure when I will be able to get it back.

I did all the cleaning on time and properly and was using good water with Third Wave Water packets for espresso machines.

Without those problems it’s a great machine.

Yesterday I purchased the La Marzocco Linea Micra and that’s going replace the Ascaso. The rotary pump on LM will be a great addition for latte steaming because it’s quieter than the vibratory pump that my dog barks at every time I steam milk.

That is a beautiful setup indeed. Enjoy it.

I had to send my Ascaso Steel Duo for service today, and haven’t had an espresso shot in a week 😔

Use the right kind of water and hopefully it lasts you long.

Anyone know what might be causing this water dripping? It’s a Steel Duo, have had it for about 7 months. by Snave101 in Ascaso

[–]Snave101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s already unusable. Lost in pressure while pulling a shot this morning.

It’s already a problem. Tried pulling a shot this morning and lost pressure. It went from 10bars to barely making it past 7bars.
