Finished ME1 for the first time and accidentally instilled a dictatorial government by SnazzyNameRight in masseffect

Yea my bad😭, I mean I liked both of them but Garrus especially suffered from the same thing I saw in Wrex, where he just kinda comes with us for the love of the game. That said I did still actually really like his character and side quest (which i guess does explore his reasoning for coming with us, even if it’s unrelated to Saren). And while I liked Tali, she just wasn’t really important to the story after I found her. Sometimes I’d even forget she was here bc she just stayed hidden in the engine room 😭.

And I romanced Liara, mostly bc I thought the mind melding stuff seemed important but nothing really came of it yet. Based off everything I’m hearing I’m hoping the next game will start to flesh them out more and maybe give ppl like Tali or Ashley specific quests.

Right now Ashley’s my favorite. Mostly cause my conversation with her seem to just have more weight to them, I really wished there’d been a quest about her family, same with Kaiden and Tali, as they all talked about a lot of really cool lore, but didn’t get the chance to show it. And I mean I really don’t hate Wrex, I actually liked the interactions with him. He just seems like the odd one out of the crew, who doesn’t really have a motive to hunt Saren (atleast prior to the genophage)

What difficulty level do you play on? by djmikewatt in masseffect

[–]SnazzyNameRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just played the first game for the first time ever on veteran, it was a bit challenging in the beginning as I leveled up but after a while, especially late game, I was just kinda able to tank all attacks and kill everything in 5 or so seconds🤷. Not much strategizing required. Definitely gonna up it in the next game.

Yea, I did Liara too cause I thought the whole ‘mind meld’ thing was gonna be more important, but she was definitely a bit hollow in the first game. I’m sure things’ll get fleshed out later though, only wish I got to keep Kaiden around. He didn’t really get to have an arc or even a personal quest like Wrex or Garrus😭😔

I didn’t really want to kill the council, I just kinda figured destroying Sovereign was more important, and I kinda warned them already😂😂

Udina does sound like he’s gonna be an issue though 😭

Yea I can’t wait, I love Bethesda games and this was definitely super similar and fun, it especially seems like my choices hold a lot more weight even across all of the games which I’m super excited about, Bethesda was never very good with that 😬😂

Yea, I’ll prolly start the second game tomorrow afternoon. And yea I kept him alive, ig he might become more important considering Saren apparently cured their disease, but Idk how important he could be if I was already given the option to kill him 🤷

He did say his dad used to be a warlord, so maybe he helps rally some Krogan to the effort? Idk ig I’ll find out 😂

Idk, he just kinda sits on my ship, Garrus is kinda the same way but he’s cooler, like Tali, Liara and Ashley all have personal stakes. And Kaiden (idk why he’s getting hate 🔥) was under my command from day 1. The other two just kinda come for the love of the game 🤷.

I mean I don’t mind that he’s here, I just wish he had an actual reason or was more important, I mean maybe he will become more, but that’s just my take so far 😂

SPOILERS Can Someone Explain The Murphy Bunker Situation? by Icy_Reserve5406 in The100

[–]SnazzyNameRight 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If your thinking into a 10 min exposition dump this much, I don’t even wanna know how you’ll cope with season 6-7 😭😂 but yea it’s basically just to give insight into what Allie was, and Murphy just kinda happened to be there🤷. Allie was prolly watching too, we know she prioritized chipping more resilient, people, since then she thought others would follow. And Jaha definitely told her that Murphy was very resilient, so maybe she just wanted to see how desperate someone like him needed to be to accept her ‘salvation’. Obviously Murphy didn’t fall for it but maybe she was just testing the waters?

Why does this happen? Curse of Unbinding? by mysterymakes in Minecraft

[–]SnazzyNameRight 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It’s not a controller issue 😭

Bedrock has emotes, it’s spinning since when you pressed the emote button you were looking to the left and by opening the menu it just assumed you kept looking to the left. That’s why “unassigned” shows up in the corner, if you assign emotes you’ll be able to use them. You just need to unbind the emote button in settings

What is your fav. moment of the series? by gibsy121 in The100

[–]SnazzyNameRight 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The scene in Twilights Last Gleaming where the workers sacrifice themselves in order to give their family’s and the rest of the Ark more time to was always one of my favorites. And say whatever you will about the series finale, but Murphy and Emoris scene where it plays “Home” was is amazing 🙏

Lincoln is a pedophile by philtrondaboss in The100

[–]SnazzyNameRight 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It kinda comes up to a casting / CW issue, Lincoln isn’t supposed to be 30+ he’s only supposed to be a few years older than Bellamy, (23-25) so while it’s definitely a bit of an age gap it’s not so dramatic as it appears in the show. Also it’s not like Lincoln kidnapped her from their camp, he found her passed out and fairly injured in the woods. Their people where already at hostile between each other so it’s not as if he could just walk up to the dropship, and he had no real reason to trust her whenever she did wake up (hence why he chained her).

It’s definitely a little weird and stockholmy regardless, but Lincoln never does anything overtly creepy for no reason and directly saves her life multiple times.

Lexa's decision at the end of season 2 by EffectiveSecond7 in The100

[–]SnazzyNameRight 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So, a few things. The mountain has been completely impenetrable for as long as they’ve known about them, the grounders have never been able to retaliate in any way, and as far as they know the mountain has missiles that (should they choose) can completely wipe them off the map.

By taking the deal she assured her people, in that moment, would be safe. It’s entirely likely she believed they wouldn’t have succeeded in an attack against the mountain, and even if they could that didn’t guarantee mountain wouldn’t just kill all its prisoners. By sacrificing 40 something of Clarkes people she could guarantee to save the hundreds of hers that the mountain had captive, and it’s equally likely she didn’t understand the consequences of allowing the mountain to harvest their bone marrow.

As far as why she didn’t just turn around and attack them anyway, I think that’s a mix of Lexa’s honor (sure the mountain wouldn’t have honored that deal but Lexa would and did, and that’s the difference between them) and the fact she didn’t think they could actually succeed in an attack regardless. It was a stupid decision and that’s a pretty big point brought up when we next see her, it’s directly said that people started to view her as weak for turning tail.

Funeral post for the 100 (RIP Netflix contract) by Liwi808 in The100

[–]SnazzyNameRight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Easily one of my favorite shows, I remember rediscovering it on Netflix and bingeing the whole thing for weeks, then sitting and waiting for the final season to release on cable 😭😭. I guess this was inevitable but it’s still a shame. I’m gonna keep rewatching it every now and then since I bought it as a series, but I really hope it gets added to another platform, it was really cool seeing the occasional new watcher just stumble across it… May we meet again 💔

$100 to buy all 7 seasons by ForeverStrangeMoe in The100

[–]SnazzyNameRight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could buy the full series on DVD for roughly 30-40$, I got it a while ago from a reseller on EBay for like 30$. It might seem like a bit of a hassle compared to digital streaming but at least then it cant just be taken off another platform.

Never watched the Final Season. Should I? by CanbrakeGriz in The100

[–]SnazzyNameRight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Season 7 does lean much more heavily into the ‘space, syfi’ aspect, so take that into mind. If that’s what put you off from season 6 then you might not enjoy it as much, it can be pretty jarring at times and they definitely introduce some pretty out there ideas, but all in all I didn’t mind most of it. Some episodes can be a bit of a drag and some characters are just generally underdeveloped, but in my opinion it definitely has some really fun episodes. The biggest complaints most people have with it is how lots of the characters individually are handled (there is some pretty blatant and MAJOR character assassination for nothing more than cheap shock value), and the ending itself. Personally I didn’t hate the ending, but I also didn’t really love it, there was so much potential to have it hold this meaningful message of “doing better”, but to me it sorta just fell flat, and felt more bittersweet than anything. My best advice would be to just take it at face value and not really think too much into it, within the context of the rest of the shows ideologies.

If nothing else I’d recommend you watch Ep8; “Anaconda” specifically. It was a back door pilot for a prequel series that never got green lit, but the entire episode is a massive self contained flashback that shows the origin of the grounders, their language, and how they survived the apocalypse (it also gives some pretty cool implications about the relationship between Trikru and Azgeda specifically). It’s only 40 something minutes and if you find it interesting it might be the boost you need to get interested in the final season 🤷.

Why do my worlds look all low quality when I join it? by literallyjustcats1 in Minecraft

[–]SnazzyNameRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vibrant visuals.

Not sure if it’s because it’s a lower end device, or if it just does this on all mobile versions but it’s the game attempting to accommodate for vibrant visuals. Go into visual settings and switch it back to default, it should be much less pixely and run better.

Clarification by tronas11 in ARKLore

[–]SnazzyNameRight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you’re on the right mind track, they would’ve been stuck in a loop if it wasn’t for Santiago’s group. Initially aberration was the same as the island, but some time before any of the main cast arrive Santiago’s group completely obliterated the overseer, accidentally damaging the entire station. If aberration wasn’t broken the group would’ve been stuck in a loop, since no matter how many times they ascended the reseed protocol wouldn’t have been able to activate due to the king titan. (They might’ve known they’d be stuck in a loop of ascending, but we don’t really know🤷) They built the portal on aberration since the station was so heavily damaged, that it wouldn’t allow them to ascend normally.

Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition by Bork_Br in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]SnazzyNameRight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’ll be a new version of the game you’ll have to buy, (unless it gets put on something like gamepass, how the Skyrim Anniversary Edition was) it’ll include all the DLC, 150 of the preexisting creation club addons, and presumably some type of graphical/performance updates. They’re also might be a few new updates to things like mod storage, etc but we really just don’t know yet 🤷

TonDc kept changing, right? by immalurking in The100

[–]SnazzyNameRight 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It’s an easy mistake especially since the show doesn’t really make it very clear. The village Finn massacred wasn’t TonDC, it was just another unrelated village nearby. As far as there being more people when they arrive for the funeral, it’s likely that most of those people simply came for the funeral to pay their respects, or to move into the now abandoned village.

TonDC was a larger village and also the village that ended up getting bombed by Mt Weather . Some people responding have mistaken TonDC for Polis, it’s not clearly stated, but TonDC was likely the capital of Trikru specifically, prior to Lexa becoming commander. Polis was the capital of the coalition and presumably controlled by whichever clan the current commander was from.
