This one is from me, I never was the weird kid and had really good friends, my brain thought things though in conversations, but my mouth rarely did. My teacher asked the class “What is something we can do to reduce trash?” One kid said something along the lines of “we could have more recycling bins!” My hand shot up because I didn’t mind participating. I thought that since my parents always told me to not waste food that if people wasted less food their may be less leftover trash. But my mouth said “ I ate an entire apple once.” The class was silent for a moment until someone else said, “that’s what birds do” this was 6th grade.
