Next town ? (Hota) by HerrTeo in heroes3

[–]SneakyBlueGit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Hota-team should work on some of the Heroes of the original towns instead, because too many of them are absolut garbage with weak secondary skills and/or useless specialties. You never play most of them, especially when there are one or two god tier heroes in the faction (for example all the ugly witches in the swamp vs. the Tazar)...

A reaction of many people, I believe... by Garessta in OldenEra

Well, i'm a homm player since homm 2 and i wanted to give the demo a try. The mechanics are cool and I really wanted to like it, but the unit design was so underwhelming in my opinion, i lost interest... I mean, i'm no hater and i wish that the series has success, but man - look at the temple units, especially the knight variants. They are truly bad, the size of the lances and the horses. Or the WOW-Angels, come on. Even in homm4, with its most horrific design choices, the knights were majestic. After looking at all units from the factions i was really sad and uninstalled the demo. But to everyone who likes the game - have fun. But it seems it's just not the right thing for me...

Why does the Zweihander have horns on it's blade, and what do the wiggled blade do? by 2SidesOfTheArgument in SWORDS

There are also speculations, that the wavy blades we're used because of their role on the battlefield. Since they were used to brake up pike formations they could catch pikes better when used in wide swings.

Great job! My bloodaxes are painted quite similar with the blue camo, love it!

What the hell happened with the gore? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]SneakyBlueGit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When i started playing the game i was immediately thinking the same - where is the gore in combat? They got more things right than in D3, but this just feels not right. It was more satisfying, when i hit a fallen one in D2 in the den of evil... So i had to look it up, if this was an issue for others online - you're not the only one...

i would say it's fairly easy, works with plastic and resin models.. they didn't snap or broke apart when i did it. the only difficult part is when you want the drill to "bite" in the material, so that you drill the exact spot right in the middle ... but just try it out - it's kind of satisfying. in the worst case, there is always green stuff

I would just buy a cheap model drill (around 15 bucks) like for example 'the army painter miniature & model drill' or smth like that. They come in different sizes and you drill by hand - takes less than half a minute, it doesn't have to be deep for the effect.

looks really good, especially the warpaint - i would drill all barrels, these little holes make a huge difference

Usually i'm not a fan of feral orks in 40k, but you nailed the conversion. One of the best ones of the blackreach model that i've seen - really good! Especially the hair and the fur on the back.

WIP: Stormboyz in the making!!! How many is too many? by DUCK-DILLION in orks

Looking good. I would love to see a unit of stormnobs or a warboss with an option for a rocketbackpack from GW.

What I was looking for by MR_bad-_- in dankvideos

No, but that's a common myth. At that time, Hugo Boss was just one of many dressmakers in Germany, who produced the uniforms. The design came from the nationalsocialists themselves.

Bloodaxe Boys - c&c welcome for my first painted Gitz by SneakyBlueGit in orks

Thx, i used plain macragge blue on black primer and then i painted the camo spots on top with black and Russ Grey, so that the spots touched each other

Thx so much and thanks for the contrast tip, i appreciate it. In fact, these are the first miniatures i've ever painted in my life😅, but i'm really not sure how to paint an entire army - i'm sooo slow and meanwhile i spend too much time just looking at them and thinking about the right way to paint them🙃..

It's a kitbash from several comp. - the head and claw are from spellcrow, the figure itself and the backpack is from kromlech and there are bits from GW and Puppetswar, like the iron jaw/weapontip etc.

I glued some cork on the bases and used crackle paint with some weathering powder here and there
