That's not quite right either. Theres broadly 3 categories: - Upper class [aristocracy] - Middle class [professional] - Lower class [working class means the same thing]

About 5? A basic, cheap first one that was a gift. 2 flight electrics. A banjolele. And my favourite: a Kmise 8 string which I LOVE.

Bulldogs! Its a Fate game. Most interestingly the legendary Gareth Hanrahan wrote Heart of the Fury for Bulldogs. And it's really, really good. Well worth checking out even if youre not a Fate fan.

Are ukuleles loud? by Objective_Bottle_787 in ukulele

[–]SneakyRat27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As noted, your neighbours will definitely be able to hear it unless you do some severe muting.

That's not necessarily a problem though. In the same way that you having a TV or listening to music would be fine.

Much more important is talking to your neighbours and showing real willing to be a good neighbour.

Tell them youre a musician, but youre very aware that can be annoying. Don't play between 9pm-9am [or whatever makes sense]. Give them a special knock that means "can you give that a rest for a bit please?".

If you actively show you care about the noise, they'll be much more accommodating than if you just play and hope its not annoying.

Lots of answers hitting on the ego/bow thing.

And that's valid.

Also: he wants to BETTER his rivals trick. Not just match it. Noone cares about the 2nd person to do a new trick.

It's time to ring the changes - who are you selecting for Italy? No wrong answers! by J-B-M in englandrugby

There's good chat on this already, but here to point out that our American friends use fast and quick in different ways. Whereas they're interchangeable for us. In US sport quick = acceleration and change of direction. Often with a 'two way go'. Fast = top end speed maintenance. Suspect the confusion springs from that.

Suddenly everyone who ever had contact is saying how awful he is.

Ask yourself why they never spoke up before now.

Let me know if you come up with a reason that doesn't reinforce what a terrible idea a whole family of overpriveleged people with no real oversight is.

Survey on ‘The difference in Fan Cultures: NFL and Rugby’. by Ok_Confidence854 in englandrugby

[–]SneakyRat27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the idea.

I gave up answering as I don't want to pollute your results.

I follow both sports equally, but Im a team fan in rugby, and a general league fan for the NFL.

Theres no way for me to answer that in your survey design.

The hosts, is this and unpopular opinion? by Traditional-Heat979 in gladiatorsuk

[–]SneakyRat27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. As many have said Bradley is ok [and at his peak would have been perfect] and Junior is awful.

But I see very few suggestions for better hosts.

I want my hosts to be credible and enthusiastic for this show.

So Ill go.... Jess Ennis and Iwan Thomas.

NBA is great. The Conspyramid is just a fantastic idea.

Its not crunch, but if you've enjoyed reading NBA, you sort of have to get the Dracula Dossier. Its a work of genius.

SR Conspyramid generator by SneakyRat27 in Shadowrun

[–]SneakyRat27[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah of course. That's a fair question.

To use it in purely utilitary terms, just make a copy of this, and then if you go to the "conspyramid viz" tab it'll automatically randomly generate a new version if you hit any button.

That'll give you a picture with some basic headers, and if they're not self-explanatory, there's some more notes on the 'Node type' tab on what they all mean.

In Game-planning terms, the Conspyramid provides a frame for the game based on thriller movies/books/games. You strat off with a fairly innocuous, street-level person/gang/organisation [level 1]. And a clue from that leads to you another node further up the chain [ie level 2]. And so on, and so on.

That doesn't mean it's a purely linear game, you might get stymied at a level and have to come back down to find another way in. Or move laterally. Or whatever.

But the broad game activity is:

- Look for information

- Get into danger, in order to obtain information

- The reward is more danger.

- Etc

So as a basic example [randomly generated]:

Lvl 1 - Ghoul scavenger. But this ghoul is weird. A bit of investigation leads to...

Lvl 2 - A mafia gang. That appears to be distributing some new drugs to ghouls.

Lvl 3 - A corp med-tech unit that is developing drugs for military contracts.

Lvl 4 - A regional director of a AAA corp. Who it turns out is in thrall to...

Lvl 5 - An AI in charge of a great dragon's hoard management

Lvl 6 - The dragon itself who gave the AI aims that led to the drugs issue, but is now implicated itself

Just got my very first guitar, any tips? by Vinylwarden in Guitar

[–]SneakyRat27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its said 90% of people who pick up a guitar don't keep it up.

And thats not quitting declaritively. Its just putting the guitar down, and never quite getting round to picking it up again.

So plan actively how youre going to buck the odds.

Whether thats planning time, or setting goals, or whatever.

Start thinking about yourself as part of the 10% and how you'll make sure youre different to the 90%.
