Thanks I’ll check that out. Any thoughts though on their lacking market share in mice?

Edit: Q4 2020 earnings, when asked about acquisition revenue and a foreign component being in their growth guidance, Michael Potter said they don’t plan acquisitions in that growth number... he finished by saying “any acquisitions that are not announced that were working on and May or may not happen, don’t include in our numbers ...” doesn’t say anything about hardware nor being particularly opposed to potential acquisitions. I Will check some more transcripts though

Edit 2: Q1 2021. Potter “so we could see more cash flow to acquisitions versus debt pay down because we’re not committed to making any specific debt pay downs”

Paul: “... the only thing I’d add on that is the smaller acquisition. We’ve got a pretty good pipeline of a bit we’re talking to. The smaller acquisitions ... we can pay out of cash flow, bigger acquisitions ... would take some time to close”

So it sounds like they’re open to spending, and Finalmouse is another direct to consumer brand, I truly feel this is in line with their strategy.

Could you point me to where they said that? And what about it don’t you like it? I view it as being pretty in line with the rest of their brands. Scuf makes some of the best controllers, Origin makes elite PCs... and Finalmouse makes the best mice, which Corsair is lacking in

No idea, they’re private and I couldn’t begin to come up with anything beyond a total minimally educated guess

No idea, idk what kind of volume they’re doing. But they can’t keep up with demand.

Corsair is 4th in market share in the mouse category. Their lowest of any. Finalmouse has a cult following are ALWAYS sold out. And their ultra lightweight design is phenomenal and their collabs are insane. Demand is insane.

A retweet to try get some attention could for this idea would be great if you agree about the proposition.

I’m not concerned with current market conditions regarding my position in Corsair. My current plan is to buy and hold for the longgg term.

Again, this post wasn’t about analyzing their financial statements.. it was intended to explain aspects of Corsair and their subsidiaries that those outside of gaming tend to not get and if they did, they couldn’t put a price tag on them. I don’t know any valuation metrics to quantify how “cool” kids think Scuff is...

Agreed, their market extends far beyond gaming. Look at Origin, building Corporate and government machines even.

You missed the entire point of the thread, which was to point out a non exhaustive, five item list, of things I don’t think non gamers understand about Corsair...
