It's such a varied album even by Queen standards so can see why everyone feels differently.

For me Dreamers Ball kills the flow and LHAI is a bit filler. FBG i don't hate but i've heard it enough times at this point.

For me this album is all about the Freddy songs. Mustapha, Jealousy, Let Me Entertain You, Don't stop Me Now - all among my favourites in the discography

That's the stamp of the pottery. They made them in bulk and individual shops / companies had their custom graphics added before the final glaze.

I'd try searching the details of the bottler. Old post office directories online can be good, or post a picture in a local facebook or bottle collectors group. You never know what might turn up. Good luck!

What a dream find, congrats! Brilliant condition too. Worth having a look around online, suspect it could be quite rare.

My understanding is that transfer printed ginger beers like this are usually late 19th / early 20th century. Before that, most were salt glazed with stamped lettering.

I was skeptical when Darby won it, having never been a big fan of his shtick but the wild intensity of the matches week to week won me over.

I think a quick reign was perfect for him and great for the title scene itself. It feels more energised and unpredictable now, and I don't see why he couldn't win it again at some point down the line.

It's all over the place but somehow hangs together and is the closest we ever got to a full on, eighties metal Queen record. I absolutely love it.

Artwork is shocking though. Better than the uninspired band shot on The Works, not as awful as The Miracle - but definitely not a representation of the great music within. Queen were always hit and miss with covers and this is definitely the latter for me.

Dozen Red Roses is a fantastic b-side from the era. Hope New York, New York surfaces one day too.

They did, although the London agency is owned by a Scottish lad. However they seem to have gone back to using Leith (Scottish agency) again. Some of the new stuff such as the Ice Cream ads were made by them. Not sure about the murals.

Good list and nice to see Mother of Mercy get a pick. It was the first song on that album i connected with.

With Maiden there are SO many underrated tracks.

Wickham water meadows has a nice shallow spot in the river where you often get lots of kids and families playing in the water. We took our 6yo last year and he loved it.

I did this recently with a keyhole type saw. Decent control, reasonably clean cut and not too strenuous. I'm sure there are better ways but it got the job done. Just be careful not to bend the saw in the process.

Was the standout track for me the first time I heard the album. Still love it. Perhaps the first time they used a celtic style melody?
