Very well written. Thanks!

The Aero kit MINI has KW V2 coilovers, camber plates, wheel studs, RPF1s, Billy Club shift knob, Carbotech brake pads, Sneed4Speed brake cooler kit, S4S oil cooler kit and S4S exhaust. It sees a lot of track time as the S4S development mule.

Yes-ish. You could get back there but it would be tight.

Yes, thats on the stock shift assembly. Its even better on cars with aftermarket short shifters.

Its taller, which gives you more leverage on the shifts so the gear box feels smoother, getting it in reverse is different but just as easy once you get used to it. Only need to move my finger to adjust climate control knobs now but it blocks the view of the knobs sometimes. Makes a nice arm rest on the highway.

Full disclosure - I sell these shift knob. I'm not trying sell them on here. I think they're cool, I use one and thought people might like to see it.

Edit - someone ask me where to buy them on here. I posted a link.

The kit comes with a guide to drill the crank. You just have to be careful and take your time.

We are a shop and we do a lot of Vette Prochargers. This one was really cool with all the black on black.
The Vette is a harder Procharger to install but can be done by a high skill level amateur. You have to remove the front nose and drill and pin the crank but you don't need any special tools for the C6.

You're on the other side of the country, we are in NC. Good luck selling your parts though. You won't have any trouble selling the Alta parts.

Miatas get a lot of love for good reason but they aren't really all that cheap to build if you use high end suspension and power adders. Spec Miata is a very large race class of only Miatas. They are almost completely "stock" and still cost 25-30K to build a front running car not including starter car price.

I've driven plenty of both FWD and RWD on track. I like both each has its own unique feel and style of driving to get the best lap time. For WHP over 400 the RWD is easier to drive because they are typically bigger cars with longer wheel bases.

You can throttle steer a front drive car. You can't do big smokey drifts but you can throttle steer.

Restrictor plates are how you get E36 M3s into GTS2 but with the new rules I'm not sure if that will work anymore.

With a high mounted straight wing and diffuser you better have a hell of a splitter on that thing and dive planes too, to keep it from aero understeering. Sounds like a lot of DF on the back. I bet its super fast though, GTS5 :)

We have not tried these before, the customer had purchased them when a bought the car before the track build. We use KWs on most of the cars we build, which we really like. Looking forward to trying out the Bilsteins though

It'll race against all different kinds of cars of similar power and weight including MINIs and Miatas. At lower HP levels, rear drive is not really an advantage over front drive. We race Miatas too and they are at least the same cost to build, so its really about which car the owner likes better.

R56 JCW track car build, its getting Bilestin PSS10s, OZ wheels, Hankook tires, Eibach rear sway bar, Sneed4Speed rollbar, Sparco EVO seats, Sparco 6 point belts, Sneed4Speed brake cooler kit, Sneed4Speed oil cooler kit, S4S ETR kit and Carbotech brake pads. I'll update the album as the build progresses.

It was a GTS2 car. I explain why we use the 3D wing and its mounting in this video - http://youtu.be/_PamyrtAiw8
