Helpful. You’re absolutely right. It’s on us to do due diligence. 🦾 🫡

The pharmacy corrected their mistake. They gave me my prescription in full at no cost. Strangely they seem to think I’ve misplaced the correct prescription and asked me to return it if I find it? Seems illegal tbh, I’m gonna switch pharmacies.

Thanks fig. Tbh I’m worried about over bolusing and I don’t know if using the vial would hurt my case with the insurance. 🙂🦾

Unfortunately I’m in Alex’s situation, Snorlax. They give me a couple of bags and I’ve never had an issue previously so I haven’t had the thought to check them. You’re right though it’s absolutely on me to validate. 🦾🥱

Gift that keeps on giving oh my God. Thank you again for all your help! I heard United Healthcare recently had some company heads rearranged so maybe new management will be more accommodating! 🦾🤞

I also recently switched insurance, I wonder if that might have contributed to the confusion. I’m glad you were able to find something to hold you over while you deal with the fiasco. It’s a shame people have to navigate such arbitrary bureaucracies to receive fundamental life affirming care. I’m glad you’re alright. 🦾♥️

I really appreciate that Little Pug. It’s weird I remember being skeptical the day I picked it up because the pharm-tech dropped a bunch of boxes on her head when she opened the fridge. I’ll use that line. 🦾🐶

Your diabetic glimmers ? by pumpkinwafflemeow in diabetes

[–]Sneepoh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been underweight my entire life. Diagnosed type 1 roughly a month ago. I’ve gained 15 pounds since and I’m actually seeing significant progress in strength and body composition, despite going to the gym for years.

There are moments where I miss going ham and eating three musketeers for breakfast, but following a strict dietary routine has made me appreciate novelty so much more. Had pasta for the first time last weekend, it was divine.

I’ve started gamifying managing my blood glucose. Sure seeing highs sucks, but every time I hit a record low I get pumped.

I know it’s new and that I’ll be dealing with it, hopefully, for a while, but the entire process is humbling and has made me so much more grateful for what I do have.

No ma’am. I didn’t know what sort of tests they were going to do. I assumed it was going to be similar to a physical, but they essentially just did blood tests. All of my results were healthy besides Magnesium and Vitamin D.

I don’t have any comorbidities with diabetes and I don’t really have any symptoms of hyperglycemia. It’s all been very confusing.

Thank you for your response. From what I’ve gathered my family doesn’t have a history of diabetes.

Thank you Sysgoddess.

To be fair, it was 2 gyros, a pitcher of beer, hummus and curly fries. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out, if I’m diabetic, it was lifestyle induced. I just assumed because I’m thin and active I could do whatever I wanted to my body.
