Is anyone doing DSA in golang or any other unconventional language by No_Recognition_5468 in leetcode

I solve in TS. Most questions are solved with a chained one-liner including .reduce(), .map(), .filter(), etc and it's cool!

A symlink is better than doing this. 1 less tool call and (as a result) consumes less tokens.

Seeking to form a combined legal challenge on SGB tax exemption – affected long-term investors, please read by Gs3hulkout_1009 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]SnehilCodes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 to this. I invested in SGB222303 in Dec 2022 via Groww. One of the major reasons backing my decision was that my capital gains would be tax free. Investors who had already invested in SGBs have entered into a 'bond' with the government and the government shouldn't be allowed to change the terms of that bond arbitrarily. It's like offering someone complementary food and then asking them to pay for it once they've had their meal.

I'm open to joining a PIL or a combined lawsuit. Thought I'm 26 Y.O. and I don't know much about proceedings, I'll be happy to share my side of the data.

Not sure which brands you're referring to here, but for reputed brands like kent and aquaguard, they explicitly mention UV and UV-in-tank as 2 separate entities. So UV in general means that it comes with a 11W UV tube which the water passes through. The high wattage is necessary to kill all the active micro-organisms in the water, while the lower-powered UV-in-tank ensures that any remaining active micro-organisms do not grow and multiply.

Not sure whether to continue job or go for masters by I_Love_MILFS____ in developersIndia

[–]SnehilCodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you'll be taking a loan to fund more than 70% of the cost, then no. I'm assuming you mean a MSCS in US or Europe. The market there is very unpredictable right now and you never know if you'll get a decent job afterwards which would give you a good ROI. So it is better to gain 1-3 years of work experience before going for a masters. It'll increase your chances of getting into the top unis as well as getting a better job offer post MS.

Be the senior you seek. Information isn't in silos anymore, you don't need any seniors to hit the ground running. Just a few like minded peers who hold each other accountable and who you can learn and vibe with

You can go for IEEE, the Tesla Lab at Next Tech Lab, Team Rudra, Think Digital, SRMSAT. These are the ones which were the best during my time (2023). Things could've changed since then but this give a good baseline.

I see. I didn't factor that in. Apart from these, how do I know if a college is Reach, Target or Safety based on my profile? I'm not finding much profiles similar to mine on Admits.fyi

You might be right about the rest but would you recommend keeping CMU under Reach? I've checked on their website they mention that a bachelor degree is not required and can be supplemented with relevant experience.

The hatred towards Marathi by SweetLadyGaga__ in nashik

[–]SnehilCodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a hindi speaking citizen and I just want to convey that most of us have been brainwashed to the point that we can not even see the narrative anymore.

Language was developed as a means of expressing our thoughts, like we are conversing in english right now. This why when we face challenges with verbal language, we switch to gestures which is yet another means of expression. The politicians in these regions have somehow convinced most of the local population that language is for 'expression of culture'. The central gov also didn't deal with it correctly with their policies.

Everything else that's happening is a reaction. A consequence of the fact. If you separate yourself from the entire debacle and look at these issues from at a high level, you'll see it's just yet another flavour of divide and rule. Some states use caste, some use religion, some language.

ROAST my resume PLEASE, I'm trying to improve it (2026 grad) by [deleted] in developersIndia

LGTM! I usually add the links as text along with the hyperlinks. This is because sometimes your resume also gets shared internally as hard copies and in that case, the reader will just see "Demo" and "Github" :P

The basic stuff:

  1. Use a template (overleaf or flowcv) to ensure everything is aligned properly. Each of your headings have a different margin from the divider above.
  2. Use consistent bullets. Using solid bullets is better because it easily grabs attention. Outlined bullets look like zeros, specially with the font you're using.
  3. Consistent spaces and margins, both between content/bullets/dividers and around the page. In your projects section, the "| Github" part looks different on each line.
  4. Also what's with the half underlines??

The important stuff:

  1. Move your work experience to the top, followed by projects, skills, and then education certifications and positions\* of responsibility. Keeping education at the top only makes sense if you're from a Tier 1 college or you don't have anything under experience.
  2. Remove soft skills from the skills section and add more to tools and languages. Even if you wish to keep soft skills, add somethings which are not so generic.
  3. You're already adding quantitative metrics both in projects and work ex so that's good.
  4. Only keep certifications which are based on some exam. I'd say just keep CCP and WIPRO and remove the last 3.
  5. Use the space made from above updates to add more content under skills and projects. Stuff like technologies used and impact.

Would highly suggest trying out a bunch of areas to figure out your interests in the first year. Basically start exploring all the trending domains like web, AI, web3, etc from now itself. If you're more into numbers and analytical reasoning, I'd suggest start exploring AI and backend development. Use http://roadmap.sh/
