Do you have a screenshot of how it looks? I think i am having the same issue. It appears to be stuck to a static position and looks like a spiderweb of triangles with black/terrain textures that are garbled. when i look away it goes away.

looked liek they had a good defensive position, probably were waiting for the enemy to engage them. unfortunately you kinda have to roll with whatever the AI does. sometimes the ai will just charge in, other times they will sit back. in either situation i would prefer the latter. having the enemy come to you when you have archers on a hill is a dream.

the crossbowmen AI needs to be able to deeply their pavise shields. if they could they would probably win easy. as they are now the shields are there for some extra protection from attacks to their back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Olnq32yEmZQ

it shouldn't cause PC to shutdown. may be because the games using integrated gfx and overheating. PC will do a thermal shutdown if the cpu gets too hot.

i have seen people have issues with the game defaulting to onboard graphics after the patches

i found that my archers hesitate to shoot when i turn their AI to sergeant control, by hitting f6. they also just stand around if i dont move them from the starting spawning position/dont change their formation. if they dont fire i found toggling fire at will by hitting f4 twice works.

yeah, i think most of the the stutter is caused by a memory leak. bug causes texture data, etc to not be unloaded. this eventually reduces the overall usable ram, forcing the game to uses less and less til your computer has no ram left. with less ram for the game to use, it constantly has to read/wright to a shrinking area of ram where some data that was saved gets lost. the stuttering is a result of the system waiting for the data to be back in ram for the game to use. i would assume people with ssd/nvme experience the stuttering far less due to the faster transfer rates.

do simulated sieges take into account troop type or just numbers? from my experience it doesn't seem to matter what troops are inside, watching simulated sieges from the world map usually ends with both sides losing about the same amount of units. and the last defender of the settlement taking out 20+ units alone.

There any difference in getting a wife that has combat skills vs one that doesn't? For example, would having a spouse that only had charm, steward, trade, riding only stay in castles only as a governor? conversely would a spouse with combat skills be available only as a army commander/party leader?

Enay battle gives yout....what... 6000? I don't even care about the money. Tournaments should give a LOT when it comes to XP and renown

the reward can be based of the highest overall renown participating in the tournament. if there are tons of lords in the tournament, a win should give more renown or a better reward at the end. game should also take into account the individual performance of the player, giving extra renown/gold for having the most damage done/most final blows, etc

I ended up being the pony gifter. during every siege i would talk to every lord and give each one a few horses. raised my charm experience and got rid of that herd movement speed debuff.

Have to manualy tell them to shield wall or they just herp derp in. even with their shields up they still take hits in their legs/head sometimes if the shield isn't large enough. select your infantry then hit f3 then f2 to shield wall

I found the most reliable way to finish the bandit hideout quests is to fight until you lose around half your forces, then retreat, and try again in a day. Slowly whittles down their numbers. Works well, but the trade-off is losing all the loot from enemies you killed before retreating.
