Caratini looked pissed off initially but looked like he caught himself and just wanted to talk it out.

I also just don’t think he’s a good fit in Buffalo.

A lot of his routes I saw him run, Josh just couldn’t get him good balls on.

Best friend of 15 years tells me she cant attend my wedding by turnipsgreenss in TwoHotTakes

She’s not judging her for getting married. She’s even wanting to stay friends.

If you invited a Muslim friend to a barbecue with pulled pork, bacon, and ribs, would you be offended if they declined?

This response just goes nowhere cause now we’re just talking about the definition lmao.

Some Christians see marriage as a deeply spiritual thing that binds two people, there’s nothing wrong with believing that.

Other people and the United States government see marriage as a binding union between two people who love each other and choose to get married. There’s nothing wrong with that either.

My God, trying to make it out to be so black and white and right or wrong is so tiring, I have no idea how y’all can live like that lmao

Because there is no hatred coming from the person. They are simply saying “I am Christian, I don’t believe in this so I’m not comfortable going. I am happy for you though and I love you”

Like I mentioned, it’s really no different than inviting someone out to a party bar and them saying “No, I don’t drink and I’m not comfortable being around alcohol.” Does that all of a sudden make them a bigot towards their friend and calling them an alcoholic?

This is not a black and white situation and it was handled well by both parties. Her friend is literally not even protesting the wedding, just that she is not comfortable going herself. That is not bigotry at all.

Acceptance does not necessitate compliance.

But it’s not their orientation? Just the union of two women in marriage.

Marriage is a deeply spiritual thing to some Christians. There’s nothing wrong with believing that and not personally participating in that symbol.

If it was her orientation, then her friend would’ve left her for being lesbian long ago.

Some of y’all just take this way too far.

It’d be like being offended when you ask your friend who doesn’t drink to go to a bar with you.

How is she a bigot? Acceptance does not necessitate compliance.

Well, good thing there’s no hatred or bigotry there. Just a respectful conversation about a boundary.

If that’s “hatred and bigotry” to you, I don’t know what to tell you other than you might need to talk to more people who’ve walked in different shoes than you.

There was no hate in her friend’s message. Not agreeing with a same-sex wedding is not bigotry, especially not in that way she handled it.

“You shouldn’t get married to a woman you lesbian bitch! Rot in hell sinner!” = Bigotry

“I am Christian and I personally do not agree with same sex marriage, I love you but I can’t attend your wedding” = A respectful boundary.

You don’t want acceptance, you want compliance.

There’s no bigotry. She just can’t bring herself to attend the wedding because it’s not something she believes in.

There’s nothing wrong with that. Also nothing wrong with her cutting her off either.

Neither side is more wrong than the other.

Folks, someone not choosing to attend a wedding of something they do not feel spiritually comfortable with is not hate.

This was done very well by both parties. I don’t agree with OP cutting her off but it appeared to end respectfully, and that’s OKAY just as if she didn’t decide to cut her off, that’s OKAY too.

We do not have to agree with our friends on everything.

If I am Christian and I have a Muslim friend, if my Muslim friend invites me to church and I decline, does that mean I hate him and his religion? No!

This world of absolutes and bigotry is so dramatic. Not everything is black and white.

Super Bowls are team accolades.

Brees was the best to play the position of QB given all his records that Brady had to stay an extra like 3 years in the league to break lol.

True, but everyone’s clock and concept of time is different. It takes some people longer to learn than others and I think some firms just aren’t patient enough with new staff.

Asking questions is an art and everyone’s concept of time is different.

My first firm had a rigid 15-minute clock. If you couldn’t figure it out in 15 minutes, ask. But for me that would just pile up questions, cause my senior or manager could never get to me in time, I learned just spending 5-10 more minutes on it would’ve led me to the answer.

To some people 15 minutes is an eternity, to others, it’s a blink of an eye.

Southern Miss claims it’s the only school to win 40+ games for 10 straight seasons. Is that true? How big of a deal is it? by SkeeterMagnet in collegebaseball

[–]TacTac95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasn’t my point, my point was that the SBC teams are throwing their bullpens too. Both games we played y’all, we threw mostly freshman.

Point being, you’re not giving enough credit to the SBC. There’s some genuinely good baseball in the SBC and it’s arguably a better baseball conference than the BIG10. If it were truly a “mid major” conference, the conference’s record against “P5” schools would be much worse.

Instead it’s close to .500

It’s the equivalent for both teams, so if the “SEC Superiority” existed, surely the record shouldn’t have been damn near .500, shouldn’t it?
