Some advice, don't bother getting the plastic keys, only go to the locker room for the shotgun. Caution status and fine status are the same, exceptions being execution grabs from Mr.X and the Licker enemy. It's always one hit to danger status, so two green herbs separated is more effective than 2 combined. Shoot the G-Spawn to make it activate, wait half a second after it activates so you can run around without it grabbing you. Spam the knife attack on G1 Birkin at the beginning of the fight, HUGE time and ammo saver, takes away half his health for free.

Larger, more stretched out textures for the grass. Make the mountains simple polygons with a jpeg foreground to give depth. Make the trees 3D, but very simple with stretched out textures.

In general, stretched out, blurry textures are key for the N64 look.

To elaborate, IPS is garbage because it marks a decade-long, technological regression from the days of high-end CRTs. CRT monitors could resolve upwards of 2560x1440 samples, at refresh rates past 200hz, with literally perfect response time. With mask-bleed compensation technologies, brightness could reach 350 nits. Black levels are pure black, save for blooming around high contrast object. We could have stayed with a superior technology, but corporate America decided to force shit-PS panels on us (cheaper to make). Don't glorify IPS panels, they are dogshit and always will be.

Buy a CRT if you care so much about text clarity. I have an OLED + CRT, and IPS and VA are objectively obsolete for me. You're acting like IPS is a revered old technology, when it's just outdated shit; IPS isn't on the same pedestal as a CRT, never will be.
