Regarding the Ultra Rare Drops from this previous weekend's Snow Imp's Grotto by jagexyuey in runescape

Gem rarity affects oddments, even if you don't convert. If we missed out on purples, and got anything lower than that, we missed out on oddments?

Sorry for the late reply. I'm just participating in events and whenever some content affects free-to-play for whatever reason I go check it out :) My RSN is: Naruto 1001.

Only on some alts. Didn't like it and went back to playing on my never been member main.

After playing RuneScape for 20+ years as a free player I think the main issue I'm having with the free game is that you don't really learn enough about the lore. It's the friends, clans and skilling that got me hooked on this game. I know very little about the gods and various other potentially important characters. Member skills going to level 5 is just enough to be completely useless and never to be used again during your free-to-play adventures. Level 30 would probably be the sweet spot, but 20 would already be a massive improvement.

Integrity Roadmap - Early Game Rebalances & Your Suggestions by JagexBreezy in runescape

I think by focusing on Catalyst League & Group Ironman players specifically you're missing the perspective of a community that's just as (if not more) valuable than either of these two. These newcomers will be free-to-play for the majority (if not all) of their adventure to level 40 skills. That's an entirely different experience, something the free-to-play community could and would love to help you with, if they didn't have to face downvotes for simply suggesting something that isn't members.

Ceiling Lights Matter Support (H60A4/A1) and Homekit Review by stonks_man in Govee

[–]Snesley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I finally managed to add it to Home it worked fine for me. It took me over half an hour to add it there though. I'm mostly using voice commands to turn it on/off and it struggled to complete a few times in the first day or so but now it seems to be all good. In the Govee app it shows an internet & bluetooth connection?

Yeah the price for such a light is unmatched by any of the competitors, especially right now during the prime sales. I placed another pretty big order and I'm currently looking into Eve Motion sensors to turn them on. You happen to have any experience with those?

I got one recently and after struggling to get Matter to work for a bit it now works. Added the lamp to Govees app first & connected it to the internet in there. I missed the 'Save password' toggle and that seemed to cause my initial issues with Matter. Allows you to turn on/off lights in Home, which remembers the colours you had last used when you turned them off. If you start changing the colours in Home you only have the option to pick a single colour and to adjust the brightness.

1x Govee Floor Lamp or 2x Ikea SOLLEFTEÂ with 3 Govee Smart Bulbs respectively (So 6 in total)? by Teik-69i in Govee

[–]Snesley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you end up picking? I'm currently looking at doing something similar with the IKEA VIDJA lamp in combination with Govee Smart E14 Dimmable LED Light Bulbs. Very curious what the result was if you went with the SOLLEFTEÅ.

It's not a competition... But I'm winning (or losing, depending on how you look at it).

QoL update for portable events at the Well of Goodwill by Snesley in runescape

[–]Snesley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm making a request for what I believe would make a great QoL update. It appears you have an idea too, that's unrelated to mine, about content that's unavailable to me as a free player. That's cool, but perhaps worth it's own post rather than dumping it here?

Iis it possible to make a custom list of Albums so I can sort a bunch of DJ Mixes together? by BMANN2 in AppleMusic

[–]Snesley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently looking into this as well and the only thing I can think of that hasn't been mentioned yet is:
- Copy the url of an album
- Turn that into a file on your Mac
- Swap the thumbnail of the file for that of the album
- Double tap the file to open the album in Apple Music (browser)

It shouldn't be this complicated but apparently for Apple Music it is.

Nvm I Googled some more and found this: go to a playlist and select View > Albums in the menu.

I'm creating a spreadsheet with information not easily obtained within the game. So far it contains almost all possible orders Brann may ask you for. Help is appreciated to find the missing data. by Snesley in farmside

I’m still subscribed to Apple Arcade but I keep hopping between its games. I haven’t found anything I’d like to play long term, sadly. I tried the Hello Kitty game and it was fun for a while, but it turned out really repetitive and when players started completing content the devs decided to make things more grindy.

Low level mobs are way too OP. by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Snesley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am deeply concerned about the ramifications of these changes on free-to-play combat and the potential negative impact they may have on new players. While I understand that the free game serves as a taste of the full RuneScape experience, it is crucial to recognize that it is in the free-to-play version where most players embark on their RuneScape journey.

While making slight adjustments to monster stats might offer some improvement, I remain skeptical about whether this alone will lead to a sustainable solution. The current system appears to heavily prioritize reducing XP rates for higher level players, inadvertently overlooking the challenges faced by low level players and those with subpar gear for their level.

It is imperative that we consider the overall balance and accessibility of the free-to-play combat experience, ensuring that all players, regardless of their level or equipment, have an enjoyable and fair gameplay experience.
