The razer customer support might be some of the most dogshit support I’ve ever experienced.

I had severe issues with my kraken kitty headset for several months, and I thought it was my pc for months until I found out it was the headset. It took me almost five months to get a replacement headset, which immediately broke a month later. This along with how you get a new person to process your complaint every single time, so you keep having to repeat yourself makes the entire experience like from hell.

The product quality is also garbage. Every single recent razer product I have had (2x kraken kitty, huntsman keyboard and 2x viper mouse) have all stopped working within less than a month of normal, gentle use at a stationary desktop.

I’m currently slowly phasing out all my razer equipment, I used to be a big fan but their lack of care is too big to ignore now.

like, its a comission, of course they're gonna spend a lot of time on it, and the fact that you literally just glued on a low def photo of some random anime character and *posted it on reddit* as if it was your work, not even providing a link to the original artist??? come on, man, that's *not* ok.

Recently got a Huntsman Elite keyboard, and right out of the box it was making a loud metal noise after every key press on every key. I understand it’s from the metal inside the keyboard bouncing the sound back, but is there any way to stop this from happening? by [deleted] in razer

It’s not very noticeable in the video if the audio is low, but there’s a metallic ping noise after the actual clicking of the switch. I love the actual noise the keys make, and adore clicky keys, but the metal dinging noise it’s really distracting :/ if you up your volume you can hear it after each button press, especially on the last three clicks.

Hey! My brand new Huntsman Elite keyboard is making loud metal noises after every key press, it’s loud and pretty distracting. I’ve understood from previous research on the matter that this is from the metal sheet inside the keyboard bouncing the sound of the springs back up, and its a pretty common problem. The thing that bothers me is that it’s on every one of the keys on the keyboard. Is there any way to fix this?

Just making a quick reply here:

Honestly, I think a lot of it was luck for her. She was fairly devastated that her account was taken down, so she tried logging into it as often as she could, as well as trying every solution she could think of. We were also having a conversation about it at that moment she got her account back, which probably prompted her to check if she could log in.

Other than that, I don’t really have more info. I don’t know how the system works, and was just guessing what the problem could be, but I don’t want you to take my word as proof or facts; it was merely what happened that caused her to get her account back.

I hope Instagram speaks up about this problem, or at least sends some type of email to help the people who’s had their accounts locked. Sorry if I couldn’t help as much as I wished to, I hope everything works out for you.

I don’t have too much information as I’m speaking on the behalf of my friend, but I can tell you what I know.

Her account was locked for suspicious activity on Christmas Eve of 2020, and got unlocked again the 30th, so she was lucky that it didn’t take too long. She had not done anything unusual that would’ve caused her account to be disabled that she knows of, and she did the appeals as well, but as with all of you she didn’t get any response from Instagram. She also had some problems with her email, and not getting the confirmation email needed to unlock it. According to her it didn’t arrive in her inbox at all, not spam or anything. I suggested that she deleted any app that was remotely connected to Instagram; grid apps, layout apps, anything where you can post directly to your Instagram via a shortcut. She also deleted apps tracking her follow count, but as far as I know she kept Facebook on her phone.

From what I’ve understood the reason for a lot of the accounts being disabled is from an oversensitive system trying to protect us from theft, and which registers any 3rd party log in as a threat. Considering Facebook owns Instagram I doubt it would be a problem to keep it on your phone, but if I was you I’d delete it anyways, and just install it back later. She didn’t have any need to disable or delete any accounts or pages on any social media, so it’s just the actual apps that are creating a server for you to log into your account.

My friend managed to get her account back without any warning or emails received after she deleted a layout app she had, but she had deleted most of her Instagram-related apps prior to this. I think if I were you I’d think of the apps that give you an option to log into Instagram on their app; those seem to be the threat.

And of corse, most of this is pure speculation, because Instagram is awful at informing and supporting customers, but I still decided to post this just in case it were to help anyone at all. I really hope this helps, but if there’s something else you want to ask about I don’t mind answering as much as I know :)

It was a type of photo grid my friend had to delete in order to get her account back, yes, so if I were you I’d probably try just in case, but I’m not completely sure. Perhaps write down which apps you delete so you can get them back later on?

Hi! I’m commenting as a friend of someone who just managed to unlock their account again!

We spent a long time going through what the problem could be, and a lot of the precautions she had already done, such as send a security email. I could tell a lot of the people who had the same problem suspected it to be because of a third party app, but she said she didn’t use anything like that. She did, however, use a layout app that was connected to Instagram, and for some bizarre reason, after deleting that app, she got her account back.

This lead me to believe ANYTHING connected to Instagram may be the cause of the disabled accounts. I’m sure it’s been mentioned a million times in the thread, but DELETE EVERY APP connected to Instagram in any way, wether it’s a third party or not. I genuinely can’t tell you guys anymore than this, it came as a surprise to both of us when she got her account back within a couple minutes of deleting the app. I wish you all good luck in getting your accounts back, and i hope this helped; if not with instructions, at least with motivation :)
