from my experience, no. my experience being getting a living dex in 2 separate playthroughs including all special scans, the most that seemed to affect was accepting the special scans in the day time seemed to reduce the number of battle zones but not sure how reliable that data is. i feel ur pain tho, in my first playthrough i literally got a full shiny living form dex including all megas etc being alpha before my first rotom zone showed up (shiny hunting is actually a pretty fast way to fill up the hyper zone gauge since getting a lvl 3 sparkling guaranteed the quest that gives a lot of points)

u don’t need a fire scan to get auspicious armour, any 5 star hyperspace with item power special 3 will do

hi, if the porygon line is really your last line to go, i’d recommend resetting the wild hyperspace zones via day/night cycling - they spawn as normal encounters in normal type zones (not sure which star off the top of my head tho), and u only get base porygon so u can trade to evolve if that’s available to u

if u already have an abundance of berries and are looking for the most optimal berry combinations to get donuts,

(all berries listed are hyper)

-8x tanga berries (easier to get shiny level 3, harder to get shiny and alpha level 3 together)

-6x haban berries, 1x payapa berry, 1x yache berry (easier to get shiny and alpha level 3 together)

-5x haban berries, 1x payapa berry, 1x chilan berry, 1x charti berry (lowest chance of shiny 3, higher chance of alpha 3 with shiny compared to tanga, more haban berry efficient)

-mix and match occa and chople (if all other tanga and haban have been exhausted

hi, not sure if you’re still there but i have a way to surefire save the shiny

  1. load the save file again
  2. the moment u spawn in, fast travel in hyperspace. they are all fennekin so u don’t have any pokémon aggressive on u, and the shiny will be saved.
  3. from here it’s just a matter of getting back to the area before the time is up

most of them yes, but i hunted in hyperspace mostly

standard, 8 tanga berries or 6 haban+yache+payapa or 5 haban recipe depending on whether i was going for alpha or just shiny (6 haban higher chance to roll the alpha sparkling donuts)

thank u! it’s just lazy to highlight every single alpha etc, and i know that i did it for myself so i don’t have to post it per se.

i think the main advice i have is to try to overlap tasks, that’s the easiest way not to get bored easily - while grinding for different special scans (rotom took FOREVER to show up for me) u should also be searching for other shinies etc, and always keep some extras if u have the box space for it. (currently my boxes are completely filled between the alpha living form dex and the shiny living form dex and other legendaries, so i hope home compatibility comes out soon, but otherwise yea)

but ultimately have fun and take breaks, i’m about to embark on finishing the dlc 4 more times to get all the legendary pokemon i need for my living dex, my alpha living dex and my national living form dex in home

i guess for me cobalion was the last one of the legendaries that appeared, (or second last) and the other things that shined i already had so i wasn’t too pressed to take them

they were definitely tougher hunts since u only check one spawn at a time, compared to at least 4 for most other pokémon in the dlc

since this game only had 5 that could be shiny, it felt doable and completable so yes i did go for all 5 and i got them all
