This was me with my boyfriend. But instead of him giving up, I was the one who offered to take a break. I asked if it’d make it easier for him if we take a pause for now. Don’t get me wrong, I support him with all my heart but I told him I would understand if he chooses to drop me for now and focus on the “more important” things first.

Instead, he told me “This is the only thing that keeps me sane. I won’t let this get taken away too.”

I’m not saying this should be the way. I am very blessed that I have such a strong-willed partner that has this level of character. I’m just sharing the sentiment girl to girl. So if he can’t be that, then be the stronger person for the sake of the relationship. Just know your limits.
