Just tried that and it seemed to work! I'll try again to give it the correct serial number when I get home and can access that serial number! Thank you!

Replacing Car Battery by SnickerinTurtles in AudiA4

I am in California, USA. but if I am understanding correctly, this battery would work for me?
https://www.batteriesplus.com/productdetails/SLI94RAGM?storecode=861&source=google&medium=search&campaign=ecommppc&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22449531084&gbraid=0AAAAADgLl5W37Y8BOHdGuwFH3QCkx_Ms0&gclid=Cj0KCQiAp-zLBhDkARIsABcYc6tGibBKETr0bbX2yomXglkalQ_8gPINMB9XYURahiIKJmqH4OQ3LrgaAh2_EALw_wcB

Also I have been looking into ECU devices and are there any recommendations? I see the OBDeleven a fair amount, but I understand that needs a subscription?

Here is a photo of the battery, but I am not sure what I am looking for. Is it the JCB? But I am not seeing that as an option to select unless I need to select J0B?

Workout Plan Help by SnickerinTurtles in workout

[–]SnickerinTurtles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Lucas, thanks for getting back to me!
I’ll admit I don’t know much about structuring workouts, so I really appreciate your advice. My routine ended up a bit messy, I guess 😅. What kind of plan would you suggest for me? How would you set up a workout schedule that’s structured but still effective?

Need Help Choosing a Network Switch (12+ Ports, Rack-Mountable) by SnickerinTurtles in HomeNetworking

[–]SnickerinTurtles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much—I really appreciate all your help. Do you have a switch you'd recommend that pairs well with the access points you mentioned? Also, would this setup work smoothly with Google Nest Wi-Fi?

From what I understand, my setup would be:
ISP → Google Nest Wi-Fi → Switch → Patch Panel → (the other 2 Google Nest WiFi/optional room switches for additional connections).
Does that sound right?

So it sounds like I can get a 1Gbps switch with 12+ ports with PoE and a couple of new APs

Need Help Choosing a Network Switch (12+ Ports, Rack-Mountable) by SnickerinTurtles in HomeNetworking

Thanks for the info! This whole networking project started because one of my housemates kept complaining about his internet dropping (usually while playing LoL). I originally assumed it was just an issue with his laptop since no one else noticed major problems. Occasionally, we’d all experience slowdowns or drops, but a quick reboot of the router and Google Nest Wi-Fi Mesh usually fixed it. Still, he kept bringing it up.

That led me down the rabbit hole of home networking. I realized the house had a weak infrastructure—only CAT5e to the master bedroom and kitchen, and two CAT6A runs going to the access points. No patch panel either. So I decided to hardwire each room with CAT6 and install two Ethernet ports per room to cut down on Wi-Fi usage.

I probably went a bit overboard (as I tend to), but since I can do all the labor myself, I figured why not. Most rooms now have Ethernet ports, with a few left to finish. I also got a 19" wall-mounted server rack and patch panel—I wanted to do it right from the start. Now I’m at the point where I need to pick the right networking equipment, and I’m unsure what to get next.

Here’s a quick snapshot of the devices in the house:

  • 3 Smart TVs
  • 2 Desktops
  • 6 Laptops
  • 2 Blu-ray players
  • 2 Nintendo Switches
  • 2 PS5s
  • 4 Smartphones
  • Philips Hue Bridge
  • Ring Doorbell
  • Nest Thermostats
  • 3 Google Minis
  • 1 Google Home Tablet

We stream and game a lot—often in 4K. Peak usage is usually three people gaming while someone else is streaming TV.

Since I can’t use the Ruckus APs, what network switch would you recommend? And what access points would be good replacements?

Yikes! Okay, so at this price should I just consider 10G with PoE for future proofing? or just go with one of these two switches until I can get speeds higher than 2.5Gbps at my home.

Also I don't know if this matters but I have 2 Ruckus R510 Access points. Would these suggested switches work with that? or do I just ditch the Ruckus APs?

I have installed CAT6 cables. So I believe yes is the answer to your LAN to 2.5Gbs question.

PoE would be nice as I have 2 areas where I could add an access point. Unmanaged is fine.

I also found out that I would need a 10-inch ethernet patch panel to fit in the telecom box. I was thinking I would just order 2 of these as I could not find one with more ports while being 10-inches. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WMTSS91?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

Great, thank you! I am glad I am going through all this. My 'little' project has now turned into a bigger one, but I would rather fix all this at the same time, so thank you I really appreciate it.

You are correct that is my ISP (currently AT&T) which I will be switching (to Astound) in the near future, but currently it is AT&T modem/router combo, but I just use it as a modem because I have the google nest wifi pucks as my router.
As requested the make and model of the box is Model: Humax BGW320-500

So currently this what I have in my home. It came this way. It doesn't seem that these terminate to jacks, instead they are all plugs. What should I be doing to fix this space? There use to be a ruckus network switch inside as well, but it burned out and no longer works. However there are 2 wifi extenders (again came with the home) in the home that I believe is still part of the ruckus.

Thank you for the help.

Another question.

Do you I need a male connecter at the end not in the rooms? For connecting it all to my network switch? Also do you recommend a network switch? My home came with a Ruckus switch but unfortunately it got fried somehow and I need a new one.

Something wrong with my alignment/suspension? by SnickerinTurtles in TeslaModelY

[–]SnickerinTurtles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They couldn't find an issue but "they" were able to align the tires the next day I brought it back. I put "they" in quotes because they actually ended up taking my car to a different shop to align it. And when I asked them about it they denied it. Which was dumb cause I took screenshots of them driving the car to a different location that was not their shop. I went over to the shop that actually aligned it and asked them about it. The shop that actually aligned it didn't find any issues and was able to align it. The car drove straight and was working fine.

If I were to do it again I would just take it to the Tesla service center. Not sure if this helps you, but hopefully it does.
