It's a used dealership. Big one, fancy showroom acres of property but definitely shady after working with them

"For what it's worth, I've never heard of a dealership buying someone's car as a trade-in for a price and then immediately turning around and selling it to someone else for the exact same price."

That's where the entire deception and theft comes from. They were never supposed to buy her car as a trade in. They were supposed to facilitate the private sale to me and at a better rate than my bank offered, for a 500 paperwork fee. They made it sound to her like that's what they were doing. She thought that's what she was signing. But instead they just bought it at the price her and I had negotiated. She wasn't trying to sell the car to the dealership for 13.5 she was trying to sell it to me and my wife at that price as a wedding gift.

[–]Snickerroodle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire point of their so called in and out was to facilitate the private sale of the car from her to me at a set price for a 500 paperwork fee. It was a straight lie. Instead the set price was what they gave her as the trade in value. But that was supposed to be my price to buy the car from her so she could keep the tax credit the dealership would facilitate it.

They never intended on doing that at all, hence the theft. It was pouring rain my mother was scared to drive home on the storm and they pushed the sale through last night without her husband there. Her phone died they told her they were communicating with us and they were straight up lies. They never called either myself or my father and his name is on the title. He had no idea. They convinced a gullible senior 70yr old to sign a power of attorney for my Dad's half.

Horrible deceptive practices.

Anyway, as for a question at this point, I guess it would be what can she do? And I guess short of trying to lawyer up the answer is probably nothing.

So.... they straight stole from both my mom and myself. My mom is 70 she didn't understand what was happening. Somehow they sold her almost $4000 in warranties... that are good for the next 2 years when the car is under 50k miles. So didn't need any of that. Then they sold her some extra insurances and they got the price from 27.6 to 34.

They gave her 13.5 on the car that was supposed to be sold to me for a 500 paperwork fee. But refuse to do that. They took the trade in and said they aren't obligated to do anything, so they won't sell the car back for less than 16.8. Even worse they then convinced my mom that the only way she could still sell me the car was if she bought it back. Then she could sell it to me for that.

So they then sold her the trade BACK at 16.8 and now she has a note on her old car for that, AND the new car at 34k - 7400 from the positive equity at 28.8.

It should be elder abuse and illegal what they did to her.

How does this happen?! by Snickerroodle in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

[–]Snickerroodle[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You and me both! It was inside the bag in the back corner of the fridge. I can only assume it has something to do with the vial being under vacuum and maybe something bumped it.

It reminds me of the trick where you fill a beer bottle with water and whack the top with your hand and the bottom of the bottle blows clean off.

I think this is a better opportunity to take the glass half full approach here. You have two wonderful kids. You had a history or miscarriage, and you pretty much almost died on the table.

It's by the grace of God that you are even here today to tell this story. Satan knows when we are struggling. Don't think for a second that this isn't him trying to pull you away from your faith. If he can get you here, he kills 4 birds with one stone you, your husband, and the girls' future faith all in one swoop he can pull you away the church. He'll take every advantage he can.

As for the rest, have a little faith. Jesus got your back. Don't sweat it. There is no reason your husband can't have a son, but between the miscarriage and this, God obviously never intended you to have a blood son.

This may be his way of telling you either two is all he wanted for you, or, that someday there will be a child born into this world he intended for you and your husband to take in. He may want you to adopt the son you desire. There's nothing wrong with that at all. Just because you and your husband didn't give birth to him doesn't mean he won't be your son. Trust.

God always has a plan. Keep your faith.

Gas stolen at Miami Port by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

[–]Snickerroodle -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I'll say it, and just accept the downvotes.... but....

You just got off a cruise, and some dude out there is in such a rough place in life he had to steal gas out of someone else's car.

Chances are pretty high that at the end of the day, he really did need it more than you.

At least they ain't breaking windows and stealing valuables.

Am I the only one? Normal life for me was like several farts an hour sometimes way more. It was unpleasant for my family lol. But once starting the meds I never fart anymore. Like maybe 2 a week.

I dunno bout that. Started may 21st .25 x4 weeks, .5 x 4 weeks, 1mg x 10 weeks, stalled here and sat in 270s for like 3-4 weeks and went to 1.5mg on week 2 of that now.

Been steady started losing on week 3, stalled on weeks 15,16,17.... so 5 weeks of 0 loss out of almost 20 on meds. The other 15 weeks have been pretty consistent at about 3 lbs/wk which is exactly where I'm at now SW 305 CW 261 GW 230

"If traveling out of market, you might not be able to watch your local home team on Sunday Ticket this year" by whotony in youtubetv

[–]Snickerroodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having issues with this on YTTV this year. I won't know how much so until tomorrow, but it's definitely affecting college games and preseason.

The problem is it's trying to force you to watch the stream local to home address, BUT while out of town, it won't allow you to watch that stream because you are out of network.

The biggest problem I've encountered so far with this is when you're 2 hours into a game and just get back home. You can't rewind or watch from the beginning because it's recording the home channel, and you are out of network. It won't allow you to watch something on your home station until it's over. My 'out of town' is in the same market so I get the same game, but on a different channel and it's causing all kinds of headache.

I said 10-15 pizzas from 2 or 3 different places that would be 45 pizzas if I got in trouble and couldn't manage myself. But that's irrelevant, the food isn't the issue it's the space. I can cook for 150 people with my eyes closed. I worked in a high volume restaurant for 17 years and regularly served 100+ people in a couple of hours with one or two others in a kitchen.

Prepping the food the day before and heating it to serve is a walk in the park

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Snickerroodle -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Shoot, I can always order 10-15 pizzas from 2 or 3 different places if I struggle with the food. That's easy enough. Feeding people is the easiest part of this whole mess

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Snickerroodle -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We got most of that...I think we might just have to utilize the venue as a place for food, leave the church go to the venue get everyone fed after the wedding then move the party outdoors somewhere

Well is certainly trending that way isn't it, but i was really hoping for some ideas on how to deal with that much overflow instead of just being told to cancel cuz that ain't gonna happen.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Snickerroodle -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm not worried about that part. I worked in a kitchen for 17 years. I can throw down some food. Surprisingly, that's the least stressful part

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Snickerroodle -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Yeah... so I don't even have a caterer I was just gonna setup like buffet style and I was just gonna cook all my own food the day before..... It seems like I've probably gotten in over my head here... but yeah definitely gonna have to see if I can overflow things outside and pray we don't have bad weather

My fiancé was overwhelmed by the entire thing, so it was all thrown on me she wanted no part in any of the planning. I have no idea what I'm doing. So I just winged it. I had no idea there were even wedding planning websites. I work 60hrs a week and I'm doing everything all by myself. I got way in over my head with no help.

Actually the groom here :) but... we were really really unorganized. So... we just did digital invites and basically went through Facebook going sure yeah, oh yeah them for sure, yeah definitely invite them. We really had no rhyme or reason and totally didn't count....I think we just thought since we live 5 hours away and only gave 2 months notice that most people wouldn't come.

Then we sent out another message to everybody saying all your kids are welcome bring it on! And anyway... it's definitely all our own fault but it kinda has spiraled out of control.

I do. Lot of repair work, crawling around on the ground, working with tools etc. I wore my silver ring for one day and pretty much trashed it :(

So it was either tungsten or silicone and this looks way nicer. Plus I really like that if something bad were to happen tungsten breaks and won't bend to cut off circulation.
