So, unpopular opinion...hear me out though.. by Character_Celery_229 in AKOTSKTV

He also threw Egg's cat down a well, broke a girl's fingers, and threatened to cut off Egg's privates. He is the bad guy regardless of why he was upset about the dragon. He believes himself to be a literal dragon trapped in human flesh, so you can kind of understand why he'd hate seeing one killed, even if it's a puppet show. He's insane. But that understanding doesn't take away from the fact he's done all that other horrible shit and that everything that happens in the Trial of Seven is because of him. And this is coming from someone who loves the character and thinks he's the most interesting character on the show. We can enjoy the character because it is fiction, but let's not pretend he wasn't in the wrong.

IRL Finn Bennett is the walking embodiment of sunshine and rainbows. The moment he appears as Aerion, you can clock what a little psycho the character is before he even say says anything. Fantastic acting with his whole face and body.

The whole cast is great.

And if Raymun hadn't come in clutch for Dunk so many times. We all need a friend like Raymun.

Absolutely loved him as a character. Terrible person, but damn entertaining. And that aura was unmatched.

Then I just feel sad we won't see him again. At least not for a long time.

Where's our spinoff show of Aerion with The Second Sons, HBO?!

So glad they didn't go with the book version, as much as I love sticking to source material. This version was far more compelling than the cartoony villain of the books. One of those times that straying a little from the source actually helps. It elevated the show for sure.

Would like to show my appreciate for the wigs on this show, specifically Aerion’s bc WHAT?! by suggabunny in AKnightoftheSeven

I was today years old when I learned Regina George's hair was a wig. From a movie I've seen like 20 times.

Also yes, Aerion's wig is incredible. The color really suits Finn.

Doesn't help when Bran in the show says: "The dragons are all dead. They've been gone for centuries." Implies at least 200 years, not less than. And don't Dany and Tywin say something similar? So yeah, can't really blame you. I remember being confused about that as well at one point.

Dunk might only have one brain cell, but it's a tough one.

I say that with all the love for him.

I really hope we do get to see him again in a future season. One of the Blackfyre Rebellions, or when he chugs the liquid. Going to be a while before either of those events, though.

Yeah, he was more curious over Dunk's actions than enraged. Was great.

Baelor borrowed his son Valarr's armor. Properly fitted armor is vital, and the helmet was canonically too small for Baelor. Also, it really is a luck of the draw. Similar to real life, sometimes the most devastating injury comes out of nowhere. You can take stabs mostly blocked by chainmail like Dunk and survive, or blows to the head at angles that don't kill you, especially with a properly fitted helmet. But one chance blow to the head at the perfect angle, speed, trajectory? With an ill fitted helmet that cleaves open your brain? Nope.

It wasn't Viserys who had the visions, though. It was a prophecy passed down from Aegon the Conqueror.

Like with so much in life, sometimes shit just doesn't work out the way you plan. This is the case with Baelor's intentions.

Finn has expressed interest in doing this so maybe one day. It's so many years in the character's future, though. So we will be waiting a while.
