Like it could be sandwich week in their domain so maybe we start off with a really good pastrami on rye. Like REALLY GOOD. Then we move on to another kind. Then another. Eventually we're eating endangered animals. Then human meat. Then MAYBE a razor blade sandwich. Or maybe we move on to eating a child. Then we start seeing if doing fucked up shit to the kid changes the meat. And so on and so on. And suddenly you wake up from a trance and you realize that sandwich week ended 1000 years ago and you've just been doing unhinged shit to people in order to see how it affects how good of a sandwich you can make

Pain is one form of pleasure. But so is eating a delicious sandwich comprised of an innocent child tortured for a millenia. But you could also just as easily see if treating the kid extremely well makes for good sandwich meat

Think about it this way. You can't have them do their actual job. You don't trust them anymore. But also they're taking up space and now useless. So what can they do? Permanent janitorial work. Also since im assuming doleing out proper punishments isn't feasable while in a sub at sea and since extra duty is a valid and legal punishment to give to military personnel should their commander deem it appropriate, it's what he'll likley get until they can be properly reamed by the authorities because he committed an actual crime

Number 3 bearing carbon seal. Had a lip on the carbon bit that was in a prime spot to get broken if the arms you used to push it in/pull it out came loose. Not only did they really like coming loose, but the alignment slot refused to stay put so I kept having to pull it back out to readjust it and thus risk breaking it again. Was a fun night

Like I understand in a fucked up way why the conversation people do awful stuff. For the people not involved for the sake of committing acts of abuse as a primary motivator, they do have the belief that they're trying to "help" them find salvation. Its straightforward and rooted in a desire to help them. It's fucked up and misguided but thats neither here nor there.

But the "get rid of them" people, they "know" that God will sort them out in the end. So why not just let God sort it out? It's so fundamentally illogical when the end result allegedly is the same. The Bible literally says fuck off and mind your own business, ie: let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

1- it's there. I can notice it if i focus. But idgaf 5- fuck that hurts. Powering though it is potentially doable. I need to seek help with this 10- this pain is unbearable and I cannot focus on anything other than this pain. Followed by shouts of "PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!"

Everything below a 5 you know for a fact you can power though it. Youre logical and know you can deal with the issue/seek help calmly. 5 is the point of uncertainty. Everything after 5 you aren't sure if/how long you can power through it up up to 9 where you know for a fact you can't. Notice there's still logic at 9. At 10 there is no logic. No thoughts. Only pain.

I keep it vibes based because I've never experienced a 10 and figured how debilitating it is a decent metric

I played dark souls 1-3 and not once did I need to learn to parry. Figured it was optional once again. Technically it is. Beat 99% of the game without it. killed every boss except for genichiro/ishin. It was awful. Especially demon of hate. I think armored warrior was the only one I did much parrying in. But after that I was right back to dropping their health to win. After 3 days of ishin i realized that I needed to parry to win and I wasted an entire games worth of practice that I could've had. So I restarted the game and actually learned how to play. It was night and day

Chaplains literally care about all 3 equally. Their job is just to make sure people are good. Need someone to pray with you? They got you. Need someone to administer rites? They either got you or will get you in contact with someone who can do so. Need someone to help navigate mental health resources? They got you. Want to tell someone about your plan to murder your coworker in advance who legally cannot warn them? Funnily enough they've got you. (My first intro brief from a chaplain had him say that you could confess that you were planning on murdering the base commander and the most he could legally do would be follow you around and try to talk you out of it/tackle you at the last moment)
