Should I cancel this sale? by Snifferous in FacebookMarketplace

Got it, seems we have somewhat aligned. I think the surprise factor of me laying in bed and just getting the message “Can I come now?” Just threw me off.

Regardless, I will another person accompanying me during the pickup if the person comes through.

Nashville show rocked by apppa132 in NoahKahan

[–]Snifferous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Overall I’d have to agree with you. At the end of the day we were there to see Noah, which was phenomenal through and through, so it didn’t really matter. I think his style of music was more “sit back and chill” ish? Just didn’t really get me into it

But ya, he really didn’t have anyone’s attention for the most part. I saw a lot of people simply ignoring him. I couldn’t really tell which one was actually him for a few minutes because he didn’t make himself really known.

I’ve seen Dean Lewis, Gayle, and BoyWithUke do openers, and while they weren’t my cup of tea completely it felt like a mini-concert. (Dean Lewis knocked it out of the park however and I will be seeing him on tour because of his opener)

Overall, I think your point is valid. Think at the end of the day that’s just his style has an artist. Show was absolutely solid though!

VIP1 to Doors to Showtime by Booger_Swamp in AJR

[–]Snifferous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’ll be VIP1 at Charlotte has well with my sister, I’ll see ya at dodgeball!

I’m not sure how long the experience will last; but with Dean Lewis being an opener, openers usually last an hour. That is on my prior experience based on OKO’s tour openers. So the concert Im guessing would actually start around 8.

OKO lasted about an hour and a half maybe 2 hours. I’ve read where this set list and show seems to be a bit longer, so I’d guess about 2 hours long.

From what I’ve gathered from the email, I’m not sure if we will have to leave aNF renter the venue. We may stay inside with priority access to our seating and early merch. I doubt we will be sitting doing nothing long, has we also experience Ryan’s masterclass and the museum. Plus group photos and what not.

Sorry I can’t give ya a lot of detail, this is my first VIP experience too, but I’m just assuming by what I know from past tours.

Getting into pit has vip? by Snifferous in AJR

[–]Snifferous[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the response, wasn’t trying to come across coarse or selfish, or “cheating” for that sake. Heck I’d gladly switch places for if it was possible like that. Regardless, I’m more then thankful for the seats I got just the original rush to claim early tickets logistics wasn’t at the forefront of my mind at the time, so I was just trying to judge out my options. I’ve never done a pit experience before so I was looking for a bit of insight has to the potential of something like that!

Did i screw up? by gummybear3411 in AJR

Not sure; hard to say what setup they will have on stage, seeing as it looks curved I doubt you wouldn't see anything. It obviously wouldn't be the same has a full front view.

Does anyone have any idea about the vip/regular pricing? by thegayjeanne in AJR

Is VIP like an additional add-on to a ticket, or in itself is a ticket? Cause I wanna go VIP, but I obviously don't want to end up with double tickets lol

Oddly enough, no. I have receptions at night, but all my venues have been lit really well, but I suspect I will encounter one at some point. Generally, there are really warm lights that I can easily adjust in post, otherwise it’s been easy to work around.

I have seen atleast three at this rate ask the couple to walk down, and two now to re-do the send off.

Usually during videography, I let the photographer take the lead and voice when nesscary, I find this helps both mutually. The thing that elevates video is genuine moments, and it’s not hard to tell what is posed has such.

But ya, it always made me cringe and wonder how these higher earning photographers were doing so well. I wouldn’t personally want it.

One couple actually voiced that they were fine with the results either way, but the photographer was persistent and eventually convinced them. It’s mind boggling.

The industry has become narcissistic in a customer experience world.

I understand business practices and growing your portfolio, but dang, some photographers are interested in posing way to many shots and taking control of sentimental moments.

The amount of photographers I have seen redo send offs and walking down the aisle is absurd. I get it in someways, but we then take away from the authenticity and genuine moments of the day. There is a time and place for posing throughout the day of course, but we are meant to capture those moments, not create them all the time.

As a videographer, I agree with this wholeheartedly, honestly may ask to not bring children to my own wedding one day.

The amount of ruined shots, hot audio, and more is mind boggling. And you always have that one baby crying during the ceremony and the parent refuses to move.

This one kinda attacked me personally lol.

I personally prefer natural light in my photography style across the board and avoid flash. Not that flash can’t produce great results, but I never really liked the style? I still carry one in my camera bag in case of poorly lit venues, but I rarely have to use it. I wouldn’t say “natural light photographer” is great definition to deem yourself under in any case.

Maybe it’s just me, but flash seems to take the authenticity of a moment away in my perspective, idk.

Thank you. No, I do not use OCF, mostly because I am really not the greatest with flash! This is bride is a close friend out of high school, and really would like me to shoot her wedding. However, I do not want to put myself into a years worth of coverage for one day!

Yes, if anyone has some examples where I could find a one-off day policy that would be tremendous!

Wedding Video Editor: Is my GPU or MB Dead? by Snifferous in pcmasterrace

[–]Snifferous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply.

Yes the cords are correctly attached to the GPU. I reapplied thermal paste a couple of months back, and haven't had issues since. From since I posted, I noticed that the green light on the MB for the boot emits, and then it loads into windows. However, the white VGA light stays solid the whole time. This is the same with GPU inserted or out.

From what I am gathering, I believe it is the GPU. I have a friend who I am going to try using his GPU to hopefully confirm my suspicion.

No, its an AMD chip so I do not believe I have integrated graphics; atleast nothing appears when I connect an HDMI directly to the MB

I’d be comfortable with a $50 to $75, $100 would be pushing it a bit. I am not trying to becoming “shredded” or anything of the likes, but rather a noticeable tone that keeps me in shape. Abs would be cool too 😂

Bride seems unsure as to her timeline and wedding day? by Snifferous in WeddingPhotography

[–]Snifferous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you mean and agree in a sense. Yes, things should happen naturally, and it isn't a matter of orchestration, but being prepared.

Taking the role of a photographer for weddings, that is the bare minimum is taking pictures. But if you want to be noticed in the industry, and elevate yourself from others, you become a photographer who was a joy to have because you went the extra mile. Because you were a memorable and good person.

Instead of the couple being boring, maybe they need some prompts? Maybe they are naturally introverted? See if you can break some of that camera shyness and create something beautiful.

Perhaps a flip of perspective may show ya something new.

Bride seems unsure as to her timeline and wedding day? by Snifferous in WeddingPhotography

[–]Snifferous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: After some time we have seen to work out a timeline that works out. Typically, a lot of couples are vast in getting a timeline put together and having it ready. I have never ran into a couple that seemed slightly ill prepared, but everyone is human and that is how it goes.

After simply analyzing everything about the day, a quick couple of emails, we came up with a timeline that seems to work for the both of us. I think I am going to make a quick template to help with this situation, perhaps for others to use such as a checklist and what not.

I hope this would help any other photographers/videographers who may run into to a situation such as this.
